    Famous ENFJ Fictional Characters

Here's a thread to post examples of fictional characters that you feel have been written to closely resemble the ENFJ archetype.

I'll start with the most famous ENFJ of all.

At last we disagree, kiwigirl. I was starting to wonder if that was possible, hehe.

Kirk was the epitome of an ESTP (both old series and new movie).

    Amidala was a classic INFJ.

    ENFJ - The Givers

I googled these two and saw in a couple of places that they were ENFJ. I am stumped now. Where are all the ENFJ fictional characters? and why couldn't Elizabeth Bennett be ENFJ?

Heh, the opinions of the internet. I've seen some really wacky ones.

I suppose if you look at them from a certain perspective, those characters could be ENFJs. INFJs and ENFJs are a lot alike when well developed, and ENFJs have a lot of ESTP traits, especially when well developed. We all have the Ni, Fe, Se, and Ti elements.

I see Amidala as an INFJ because she's not expressive enough to be an ENFJ. She keeps things to herself and only speaks when necessary in most cases. Sure, she has our compassion and insight, but she's more of a think then react person.

Kirk has such an obvious ESTP it's not funny. In almost every instance when the two are in question, Kirk chooses Se over Fe. He cares about the ship, the mission, his crew, but he's a man of action first (Se), a man who thinks in terms of how things work second (Ti), and then one who is concerned with everyone else's feelings and expectations (Fe). Think about how often Kirk disregarded alien customs and even Star Fleet regulations. Lastly, Kirk had that insightful leap of logic (Ni) as a back seat driver that let's him somewhat follow Spock's INTJ-ness when he's having an Ni moment. And of course, since Kirk is an 'ideal' man, he's got well developed functions across the board.

But again, keep in mind that In all of these traits, you'll be seeing a lot of yourself, because as ENFJs, we have them too. We just have different preferences, and in times of stress it's not difficult for us to switch into an ESTP mode.

As for Elizabeth Bennett... I can't see her as anything other than an Fi user (though I've only seen the movies and haven't read the books). She wanted what she wanted and almost couldn't care less about social norms, and had no trouble sticking to her guns when everyone and everything she cared about said no. I kind of see her and Mr. Darcy as ESFP and INTJ, actually, especially after reading Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies, hehehe.

I was going to add Lana from Smallville! She is a quintessential ENFJ!

And yeah, Bella is definitely another one!

I could definitely see Alfie, and I'd often thought that Hillary Swank was one of us, but now that I've met her I have no doubt.

As for Catwoman? Dunno... she's too self serving. Maybe the Halle Berry version? Megan Fox's character in Transformers? Yeah, I could see that, but definitely not in real life. Haven't seen the Hercules cartoon, so I can't comment there.
    Seeker thanked this post.
