Aragorn. I think he's strongly INFP.

    - goes to extreme lengths for friends, sticks with his elf lady friend.

    - quiet, more reserved

    - sentimental

    Any objections?

he's a leader, so he is either extroverted and/or judging. probably sensor too, as he enjoys walking in nature a little bit too much. allthough he could be infj, i would say istj.

    Loner - I
    S/N - not really sure
Makes decisions based on his convictions - F
    Takes decisive action/strong leader - J

I'm thinking INFJ, because Ni makes more sense for his primary function than Si. (to me at least)

Im thinking ENFJ ENTJ. INTJs and INFJs generally don't take the lead. His eyes are too not in the moment to be a sensor. You can definitely see he has Fi because of the way he pauses before making the judgement and gets lost for a moment in his eyes. He has passion but does not express it directly (Fe) but rather through logical action (Te). You can see when trying to make a decision his first inclination is to check into Fi but the ultimate decision is ruled by Te. So my vote is ENTJ with developed Fi or INTJ with developed Fi who randomly decides he's up for the leader position. The other posssibility may be an INFP who has very well developed Te but I doubt that.

    all just what i think

xNFJ, he's got Fe charisma all over the place:

"Hold your ground, hold your ground! Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!"

    I wouldn't say an extravert.

With the actor he seems more Fish than Tish, with the small possibility of INTP.

He's rather reluctant to take the lead at first to an extent, scared of what happened before. Also, eyes being in the moment is a product of the actor, and indicative of Se, therefore SP, not Sensing as a whole.

That said I agree with the sentiment - he's not an SP.

Is it a coincidence that my username is Elessar and my type is INFP??

ISTJ - he's all about duty and honour and loyalty, and his skills are more sensor-based. He is a leader because it is his duty, not because he is an extravert. Plus, he's 60, so he had time to develop his softer side. And his entire life is a long-term goal that he lives and works towards - very very J. (basing it on the books).
