    INFP - The Idealists

    Wolverine - ISTP, no question
    Gambit - ESTP
Deadpool - insane people are hard to type, but if I had to guess ENTP
Jean Grey - INFP or INFJ
    Storm - ENFJ or INFJ
    Beast - INTP
    Spiderman - INFP
Iron Man - ENTP (sometimes J, but I'm leaning toward P)
    Cyclops - ISTJ
Cloak (I personally think he is a INTJ) - from what I remember I'd agree with that
    Jubilee - ESFP
    Rogue - ESFP
The Human Torch - ESTP (maybe N, not sure)
    The Invisible Woman - ENFJ
The Punisher - ISTP (maybe J, not sure)
Dare Devil - hmmm, I want to say ISFJ for some reason but I'm not sure - definitely I**J though
    Magneto - INTJ
    Nightcrawler - INFP
    Shadow Cat - ENFP
The Hulk - hard to type him as the Hulk, but I think Banner is INTP
Captain America - ISTJ (maybe E, not sure)
    The Thing - ESFJ
    Professor X - INFJ

    ENTP - The Visionaries

I would like to oppose suggestions that Dr. Banner and The Hulk have two different MBTI types, they are meant to be two sides of the same coin. First of all, Hulk is not an ISTP because an ISTP is Ti dominant: a quality the Hulk isn't prone to showing. In fact, I could find more examples of Fi in the character, with the personal ethic driving his actions (see protective behaviour of Betty). Se is of course very present in the character. In a way, the character resembles the most violent parts of an ESFP. The mistake is typing Hulk as ISTP like Wolverine, Rorschach or Clint Eastwood because they're badass :D

Of course the Hulk is not ESFP, the functions, despite being prevalent, aren't nearly as refined as that of a true ESFP, rather the Hulk matches them as manifested inferior functions (stress related). Now, what type has primarily (quaternary) Se and secondarily (tertiary) Fi in its inferior functional hierarchy but INTJ? It makes sense that rather than having two different personalities, the Hulk is simply the rage personified of an angry INTJ (Bruce Banner)

I forgot all about the human torch actually being more intuitive and logical in the comics. Than again. F4 isn't really one of my top comic series.

    and ofcourse Deadpool is ENTP.

ENTPs aren't really represented well in comics. We'd be in more manga's though.

NT's as a whole are much larger represented in Manga. Infact-

    Manga good characters- NF
    Manga villains- NT

(Its not an iron clad theory just a general note, from Bleach and the Manga adaptation of Battle Royale.)

    INFJ - The Protectors

I just saw Captain America: The First Avenger, and if this version is the true Cap, I'd say he was an INFJ. He's definitely introverted - reserved, quiet. He's an F type - always concerned with the welfare of others at the expense of himself. And a J for sure - he's decisive in action. But I argue that he's an N, not an S.

With Temperament theory now popular, many argue Cap is an SJ type, since he seems to follow rules just because they are rules. But I argue that he's an NF type. His values seem to coincide with what America used to stand for, but Steve also is very compassionate, and follows his strict moral code, without compromise, and will go against orders if it means sticking to his morals. And what are the INFJ's referred to in this forum? The Protector. And that's exactly what Rogers is: a protector or the underdog.

    ESFP - The Performers

May be someone some of you don't know but the Marvel Superhero Nova, I believe him to totally be a ESTP.

Also, Captain America is totally a ENFJ

I was going to tell you your post was awesome... but then you thought Captain America is an extrovert. He cares about people a lot, but doesn't LOVE limelight, and if you watch the movie, he's quite reserved, and fairly uncomfortable with crowds (you can see in the Stark Expo scene). INFJ. I am like him in too many ways.

You ARE right about Nova, though. He's definitely an ESTP. I'm glad someone else knows him. He's one of the most powerful beings in the universe, and gets no attention. Hahahahahaha.

ENFJ can seem less extroverted than most Extroverted types, which is why I could believe this, plus he doesn't seem introverted to me at all, not in Earth 616 (Main marvel universe) anyways.

though in the movies yeah he is. Still just the same, here's a longer description that helped me reach such a decision..bear in mind this is based on his Mainstream Marvel comic appearances, not the movies.

    htt p:/ /w ww.personalitypage. com/ENFJ .html (minus the spaces)

and glad to see you say that. The reason I understand Nova so well is probably because of the things we share in common..even though he's also quite different from me as well XD

edit: course its possible I'm wrong

And INFJ's can see more extroverted than introverted. I know for sure movie-Cap is INFJ, but I'm still curious as to why you think 616 Cap is ENFJ. Now, I apologize if I sounded a little offensive, I was kidding, I loved your post for many reasons. Especially since you know characters like Nova, and know the names of the different earths.

My answer is a tad embarassing, but before I joined this site I was looking for what Captain America was, and someone said it..and when I read what ENFJ was, it completely sounded right to me. I'm actually completely new to this way of describing personalities honestly so I'm not so sure I can give an accurate description ^^'

With Nova it was just that I felt like we had something in common (wasn't sure what and couldn't quite put my finger on a description for his personality) and when I looked up what someone else said Nova was, they felt he was a ESXP and asked for someone to fill in the X. I was like "that confirms he's alot like me, but I feel he's also different" (and I'm a ESFP) so I did the next logical step and chose "ESTP", looked it up and sure enough..it sounded JUST like him XD

I've been a fan of Marvel for many years, Spider-man 90's cartoon basically raised me and I've been a huge Nova fan as of late. I saw a few of his 90's issues a long ass time ago, but it wasn't until recently when he got anounced for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 that I decided to go back and read all of his stuff, so I read almost all of his 70's run, a huge chunk of his 90's run and his time in the 90's New Warriors, and almost all of his 2000 stuff, and I'm most definitely a hardcore fan lol Course, it helps I'm OCD lol
