This is a discussion on GLEE characters within the Guess the type forums, part of the What's my personality type? category; Kurt sure is one sassy ISFP. Can someone explain why everyone thinks he is ISFP? I just can't see it. ...

    ISFP - The Artists

Kurt sure is one sassy ISFP. Can someone explain why everyone thinks he is ISFP? I just can't see it. Maybe he's a type 8?

He actually kind of seems like a J type . . . but maybe I'm just stereotyping.

    INFP - The Idealists

I love the show, but I think the characters are a little too inconsistant yet to type.

I know Emma is fo' sho' and INFP, tho'.

Always a good point, in typing fictional characters. Writers sometimes use mbti, but usually not. A fictional character can have attributes of opposite preferences, because the writer isn't going by whats theoretically possible according to mbti.

    ENFP - The Inspirers

I believe Rachel is an enfj. It would be scary if she's an enfp. And the counselor is definitely an infp.

What about ENFP? Does anyone think that might fit?
she's too organised and focused to be an enfp but she does have some enfp qualities i agree.

that's why I said she was an enfj, which is similar to us.

I agree, I just couldn't see her being an Fe-dominant type. That was the only reason I said ENFP instead of ENFJ.

But if Fe = passion, then that would definitely fit. I don't know though, I've never heard it described that way. I guess it's possible I missed something.

Then again, like others have said, their personalities don't follow MBTI; they are kind of inconsistent.

    ISFJ - The Nurturers

I would agree that Rachel is ENFJ.

Her strongest being J. She's a major planner ( the whole calender thing with Finn comes to mind). She's a tad unrealistic . She kind of lives in her own world. Can be overly harsh at times( of course I'm a bit biased on that since there was once an ENFJ in my life who I nicknamed 'Pit bull' and oddly enough she was compared to Rachel Berry a lot ). She's a weak NF though. I could easily see her F turning into a T as time goes on and she experiences more hurt and betrayal and a heavy dose of reality.

    ISFP - The Artists

Some things I think is different.

    Finn: ISFX
    Prof. Sue: ESTJ
Tina: She is quite aloof, no idea.
Kurt: ESFP - He is too in your face.
    Rachel: ENFJ
    Mrs. Emma: ISFJ

    ISFJ - The Nurturers

I agree with Emma being ISFJ. She belongs in the SJ family for sure. She's realistic and her OCD alone makes her a J to me. Even with her OCD she is the most realistic & sane of the bunch.
