That gut-wrenching feeling (something bad is going to happen)

Do you ever have that gut-wrenching feeling where you feel like something bad is going to happen or something bad has happened? I've had these feelings before, and later on, something bad would happen that confirmed my feelings.

I've been having it a lot lately. It's just a feeling that something bad is happening or bad happened. I can't quite put my finger on how to explain it, but it's just this weird feeling that something's not right. Sometimes, this feeling has passed with no evident explanation. I don't know if it's because I've been having too much time to think lately or what. But I just have this sense of dread that has been building up. :(

Usually when I get that feeling it's because I'm right. You probably should keep your eyes and ears open and listen to your intuition.

I get the same thing. From my experiences sometimes the unexplained episodes can be something bad is going to happen to someone you don't know. That's my guess.

and.. uhh... what ertertwert said ^_^

I was 5 yrs old , 2 months away from turning 6 , my Dad had moved in with his Mom 2 weeks previously from problems with my Mom. He worked in scrap iron and hauling it with his truck which required him to drive sometimes a 60 mile radius of where we lived so he could sell it. One day in my Granny's kitchen he was at the table and I jumped up into his lap and said "Your going to die soon" , 5 days later , its getting time for my Dad to come home to my Granny's where I was at, my Aunt and 2 Uncles pull in the driveway, my Granny screams from what they tell her. He was fatally killed in a wreck.

I've had other experiences and feelings of something bad, and then it happened but nothing that's ever topped that. I didn't exactly know when or where or how, but I knew he was going to die within a few days.My Granny was an extremely hardcore Christian , and she related anything like that as "spiritual" or coming from "God", she never dwelt on it.

I have Deja Vu a lot, seeing someplace or someone before I've seen them, mostly by way of dreams. I dream a lot, always the strangest dreams. The house that I live in now, 6 months before I had been to it or even knew it existed, I had a dream if what the front steps looked like, there were big rocks embedded into it with white mortar mix inbetween them, the day I first arrived to look at the house while walking up the steps, the dream came back to me and I remembered the steps from the dream. Stuff like this happens to me a lot.

As far as knowing something bad is right around the corner for a particular individual like I did with my Dad, something like that was just a one time event. Deja Vu is what mostly happens with me, but I can't ever pinpoint when or where I'm going to see something when Deja Vu will happen, I don't call that a gift or a super power because its nothing I can use to benefit me, it's just something that happens on its own.

    Listen to those feelings.

I'm often right when I get those and I've learned to listen. I'd rather be wrong then find out later I could have warned someone.

I used to dream a lot and experience deja vu in the way that you describe. But as I get older it becomes less and less pronounced. However, like you said, it's always when looking back that you can decipher it. It never really helps me to do anything. Just like a warning to keep watch.
