The NF Intuition - Learn to use it

Though I have just recently fathomed the cognitive behavior behind the NF temperament, it seems like I was underestimating my intuition before accepting who I really am. Can you the 'N-F Dreamer' relate?

At time it feels incredible to be lost in personal dreams and stare at the moon and stars. When you sit back and think about what you want to achieve, learn to embrace it and make it happen. After all, if you just stay home dreaming you're only wasting away precious time, and if you never step down from the sky you'll end disappointed ! Are you wondering why? Well, that's because you haven't surpassed the final objective just yet !

When you're caught in sticky situations and there's a back door with no key, remember one trait that you carry. I am talking about your intuition, not your gut feeling! Your intuition develops via experiences. The good ones teach you to become a better human-being. The bad ones can benefit you and grow you as an individual

What I have learned is that each temperament has a gift, and the gift of a NF is to dream big, live a world full of fantasies and the second point is the best point: to help others who are in need of your counseling / teaching / inspiration / support. The more you feed your intuition, the larger it grows and benefits will be greater for you, and for those who ask for your help. You're probably wondering what feeds your intuition? It's simple. The experience of others that are shared or experiences that you undergo which catch your eye.

Agh, there are times when I feel so drained because I am more introvert than extrovert. But really, I would feel shattered if I subsequently found out that I could not help someone by not sparing a few seconds of my life.

    Great post!
It's a great reminder for us NF types to recognize what we want and to take the initiative to make it happen!
And I agree with you, it does often feel exhausting for introverts to place theme selves in situations that demand a lot of effort into being extroverted. But like you said, it certainly feels rewarding to know that your effort has helped someone else - even in a small way! I definitely think if we can harness our creativity and make it into something tangible and useful in our journey to help others we can help others grow AND ourselves in our own growth.

Personal Reply- Glad to see you found the post beneficial ! NF people are filled with vivid imaginations and there's always a scope for it to grow . Are you an introvert too? It really is exhausting but I think that's what's INFJ/P are made to do. It's in our nature to help those who ask. Remembering the reward is the *Key to NF Happiness* Usually small acts of kindness are what counts for NF's because it's not just the act, it's the idea behind the act. I also agree with your last statement. Though I think someone who formed a well-developed intuition will accept that happiness of others can contribute to theirs and vice-versa.

-----I found your post very insightful. I've come to realize that the way I am able to help people is not in the concrete way emphasized when I was young. I seem to be able to help (some) people heal themselves and/or their relationships. It's not concrete, but it is so very important.
-----This thought, "I would feel shattered if I subsequently found out that I could not help someone by not sparing only a few seconds of my life," has haunted me for years. What if God (or the universe if you prefer) put this person on my path because I was the one meant to heal him/her? Yes, I know exactly what you mean.
-----I had not previously thought of my INFP drive "to know" and as giving me the drive to fill my medkit with the equipment I need for when it comes time to diagnose, using my intuition, people problems. Great insight!
    -----Thanks for this blog entry!

Glad you found it helpful. Sometimes you don't need to be concrete with your advice in order to help someone. Also, sometimes our minds are sidetracked from reality, and involving another perspective is very helpful. I can also relate to the second statement. I am a huge believer in destiny as well so if I come across someone who needs my assistance I would gladly provide my service! If I don't then I will assume the One above will be disappointed in my actions. So are you an INFP? :) Lol, I bet you have a lot of friends and acquaintances who take your input. That's what NF's are known for!

I agree. The more Si i gather, the netter Ne i get! It is the same with Fi - Te but since Te is farther i can't understand that axis properly. May be the more passionate i work with the better work i do?
