How to organize the office holiday party.

This is a small request to help me out. I have been given the responsibility of organizing the office holiday party. I work in a small company with twenty-five employees. This is my first time and I don't want it to go down the drain. They are having high expectations of me and I don't wanna let them down. I am given in charge of the party, food and even music. While I was breaking my head planning for the party, I heard about an office party held by a [URL="https://www.lejardin.com/"]corporate event venue for many companies.[/URL] I enquired about it and it sounds so much fun. Plus I don't have to break my head over the organizing. I took the vote of the people and they all approved of it. I haven't presented this in front of the managers or the board members. How do I do it? Doesn't this sound like escaping from responsibilities? I have prepared a support presentation on the event but I fear that might be too much fancy.
