  1. FYI: I'm in the middle of a health issue

Just in case anyone doesn't know. I have developed chronic diverticulitis, which is going to require surgery. It has significantly slowed my roll, and I have lost 60 pounds in the last few months. I am scheduled for surgery in about 10 days, so I may again become scarce for a while. I'll try to stop in when I can. They are going to take a piece of my large intestine out and reconnect the rest. I am hoping this will be the end of it, but it's going to be a slow recovery. I've got to spend some time ...

[QUOTE=BranchMonkey;41230969]Too sick to post coherently; too sick to read anything of interest, e.g. I was reading Psychological Types with a commentary by another author, and I recognized 1) I was right about my mother being ESFP, 2) Her introverted intuition was so inferior, taken to an extreme, that the behaviors that plagued us (family) were front and center, which made me (recently) mistake her for an unhealthy ENFP, 3) I felt woozy reading, thought, "I won't retain this," and got ...

[QUOTE=BranchMonkey;37444602]Siddhartha Gotama who would become known as The Buddha said there are three things we can count on: Aging, becoming ill and dying. So now that Pickles is nearing her end in the body she has...

I thought today, while walking, later, on the meditation bench, "with rats, I get to learn about aging, becoming ill and dying over and over again; it isn't pleasant but it's a necessary part of becoming wise about what Living means, and suffering, and compassion..." ...
