  1. I'm Baaaaack!!!

    by , 07-29-2019 at 03:57 PM
For the 2-3 people who manage to read this, I've recovered from my recent surgery. It took 7 hours, they removed about 2 feet of large intestine and they removed a great deal of infection as well. My lower abdomen looks like a "dot-to-dot" of robotic laparoscopic scars, but at least there's no big "stitch line" like a zipper. I feel better than I have in years. I lost about 100 pounds. I am walking and trying to eat better. Hopefully, I'll keep this up. I'm just glad to be alive. ...
  2. FYI: I'm in the middle of a health issue

Just in case anyone doesn't know. I have developed chronic diverticulitis, which is going to require surgery. It has significantly slowed my roll, and I have lost 60 pounds in the last few months. I am scheduled for surgery in about 10 days, so I may again become scarce for a while. I'll try to stop in when I can. They are going to take a piece of my large intestine out and reconnect the rest. I am hoping this will be the end of it, but it's going to be a slow recovery. I've got to spend some time ...

    A Hard Lesson to Learn

It has been more than 30 years ago since I graduated high school. In my senior year, my last semester, I needed an English credit, so I took “Creative Writing.” Now this class had prerequisites that made it impossible for a freshman or sophomore to take it. Here's what you need to know about your MBTI

I've written this in lots of different posts here and there, but maybe I'll just throw this up here and see what everybody thinks.

Your MBTI is based on how you prefer to interact with your environment, and how you see yourself. That's all. It isn't written in stone, and it does not define you, in point of fact, you define it.

How did you get these preferences? How come you tend to use them over all the others?
  5. Happy (Not) Anniversary

    by , 06-13-2015 at 08:30 AM
Today should have been a day of celebration: Our 16th wedding anniversary.

Well that's not going to happen. As everyone knows because I've bitched and moaned about my wife dumping me about four months ago. I will be 45 later this month and I shouldn't be facing things alone. I shouldn't have to. There were gunshots outside my apartment last night. I should be in our home. I should be in our bed. How could she leave me like this?

We were 25 when we first started dating.
