    Unfortunately I'm useless when it comes to playing music. I can only write lyrics and sing
    Girl, we be in the same boat.

    If you're interested in releasing your own music you could always have someone else play for you while you sing! I think there are also a lot of pianists around who wish they could release vocal music but can't sing themselves and your voice goes perfectly with piano. You could partner up! Take the world by storm!

    @Pizzafari But that would require me to talk to people *gasp*

    And even worse ask for help -- I hate admitting to myself I can't do everything

    You're right, maybe I should get over myself and get out of my comfort zone.

    You wouldn't need to think of it as asking for help, it would be a collaborative process! You give them a voice, they give you the keys. It'd be like sailing, except it sounds a lot nicer and doesn't give you scurvy. Unless your pianist is Pestillence. As for talking to people though, can't help you there

    @Pizzafari I'm totally using that metaphor when I start contacting musicians for partnerships

    Beautiful voice. The Billy Eilish tune is perfect for you. Another you could do would be Portishead's Roads.

    @Duo

    Thank you

    Love Portishead.

    She's such an amazing voice.

    Saw them live in Bristol many years back.

    @Wellsy @SgtPepper Thank you. I was just playing it, and my son put his hands over his ears, cringing, and said, "Ugh, Mama, this recording. It sounds better when you just sing. Maybe if it had some background music. I don't know. I guess it's a start."

    FUCK LITTLE KIDS!!!
    Wellsy and SgtPepper thanked this post.
