    Planning Ahead: Te versus Fe

The way I currently interpret Te and Fe is that Te is focused on making things work for the external world situations while Fe is focused on making things meaningful for the external world situations. Therefore, I think that's why "J" types tend to plan ahead more and include the Te/Fe functions as the dominant/auxiliary, while "P" types are more likely to go with the flow because these types have Ti/Fi as the dominant or auxiliary and are more likely to focus on what works for oneself or what's meaningful for oneself, respectively, without giving much thought about how to execute that out in the external world.
So then is it correct to say that Te and Fe plan ahead differently, specifically with Te using reasons to plan for making things work in the world, and Fe using human values to plan for making things meaningful in the world?

I would say you're right, although everyone is a "P" and "J" to an extent. Your lower functions are typically functions that you want to become stronger, especially because your dominant and inferior are on the same axis. So for me I want to become better at Te so my Fi desires can be achieved. For a Ti dom, they would want to become better at Fe, and with that, they can accomplish things that are valuable in the external, because they have analyzed so much of what works and the mechanics, they would just need to work on making themselves marketable. There is an internal planning going on with Fi and Ti, Fi looks at "what are my values?" and Ti looks at "what makes sense, given all of this information?"
