While reading type descriptions in socionics I noticed, that same functions aren't described the same in different types, yet similar ones. So this is where this theory starts.

The idea ere is very simple. Types, may stain all the functions of the individual, so they appear somewhat different from the other individual's same functions. Mainly this 'staining' is from dominant function, as other functions tend to operate mostly on how dominant one tells them to. Yet, any other stains can also be included into this theory, as long as same functions appear slightly different in different individuals. Staining can come from person's values, beliefs, knowledge, learned behaviour and etc.

As byproduct of this theory, there's an abstract measurement of the level of this 'staining', called staining factor. The higher it is, the more "stained" function will appear.
