What happens when you get angry?

Hi, again! I started to think how different types act when they get angry... And what our reactions tell about your personality. I, for example, was really shy (although I'm probably extroverted really) when I was young and didn't talk with others much but ended up yelling to some boys once. They had lifted a bike of a young (and short) boy to a pretty high surface he wouldn't reach and when I saw this I got so mad I actually retrieved the bike back and I wasn't really tall either. Then I yelled to the guys something like that I retrieved the bike back and that their shaft didn't work and was really silly. What does that tell you?

You sound like you were a fun little girl. XD

When I was a kid, I usually yelled when I was angry like a little brat, and I always cried. I did the same in my early teens, but... obviously it didn't come off the same way--if anything it came across as scary because I am and have always been a large person.

As I got older, I felt less comfortable expressing anger--when I'm angry nowadays, I try to keep the peace unless
I think whatever sparked the anger really deserves a response. My thinking is that, at the end of the day, who is this other person to me, and who am I to them?

That's not always going to work, especially if I'm going to be in contact with the person on a long-term basis; in those cases, I just emotionally withdraw from the person.

When i was a kid and i got angry i just take a soap from the shower, washed my hands, get the soap wet, put it on the floor, make that someone pass near it, then they will notice and take it, when theyre about to putting it back to the place that belongs i kick their knees, then laught, then sleep (childs sleeps a lot).

I think that it's cool that you got the bike back, I bet they felt pretty silly.

I had a very bad temper as a child, but it only came out very rarely, if I was really offended/upset by something. Most of the time I would just hold in my anger, or try to get away from the situation.

    As a kid:
angry? No, I would feel misunderstood/confused and losing a chunk of trust in humanity. ''why would you do that?''

    Now:
Incompetent people frustrate me thus anger me. I do try not to display though because there is nothing they can do about it. I would bite my lip and strain my jaw(. If I am not in the mood of backing off, I get this adrenaline boost which provides a certain sense of clarity in which I can express my logic and conclusions derived from analysis more thoroughly. The ´´inner critic´´ comes out in these situations, sometimes I regret it, sometimes it is justified.)

Anger when dealing with physical situations(threatened) is dealt with by dealing the first blow. I'm not the aggressive type, but situations that are a realistic threat to my health or those of others are dealt with in an adequate manner.

Not proud of it, but yes, that's generally what happens when I get really, really angry.

I tend to bottle in my anger and eventually explode. This happened a lot when I was younger, but now maybe only once a year. Usually I'll have this desire to hurt whoever casues the explosion in any way I can.

More often something will just make me a bit irritated and/or put me in a bad mood, but this usually subsides fairly easily.

    I do this a lot.
A remember once when I was younger, I was in daycare and was already angry about a bunch of other stuff. Then a boy threw a ball at the back of my head (I think it was unintentional, but I don't remember for sure), and I blew up—without a word, I ended up punching him in the face and beating him up until he got on the ground. When he got on the ground, I kinda thought about what I was doing and just stopped.
I think this led to me being somewhat of a pacifist.

Since ive spent so much of my life being angry and unfortunately I still do, I know that in my case it's just a cliche case of it being bottled up until I explode and go berzerk.

When I was younger I used to bite and punch, kick and even try to stick my thumbs in peoples eyes, I was nasty and vicious and I often get those pangs now, but I try to control them these days instead.
