    ENFP Subtypes

I stole this concept from socionics (in which all 16 types are divided into 2 subtypes depending on which of their first two functions they prefer) and applied it to MBTI

EDIT: keep in mind, as an ENFP, you have both Ne and Fi, so you will relate at least somewhat to both.

ENFP-Ne subtype: noticeably more extroverted, bubbly and sociable. the mind of the ENFP-Ne is quicker than the other subtype (one would be hard pressed to find a quicker mind around) and they will generally prefer to keep their calendars booked, engaging a wide range of activities and social contacts. this subtype is likely to get bored easily and desires a constantly flow of new information to analyze, talk about and experience and can often spread themselves too thin, like butter over too much bread. during such times they can become burnt out, irritable and begin to drop some of the many balls they are juggling (during which time, they tend to need a time out from all their high energy pursuits and take time to reevaluate themselves and their plans before jumping back in). in terms of career, the ENFP-Ne often excels in sales and marketing positions where they can use their quick minds, innovative ideas and personal charm to accomplish much for themselves and become a valuable asset to any company. at their worst, they are scattered, irresponsible and avoidant; at their best, they are quick witted, humorous, entertaining, high accomplishing and full of energy and enthusiasm.

ENFP-Fi subtype: outwardly more subdued, but internally more fiery, passionate and convicted. as the Fi subtype would imply, this subtype tends enjoy longer periods of alone time and prefers are schedule with plenty of downtime and a smaller, more intimate social circle. their thoughts are often more self centered and reflective in nature and they tend to have clear preferences for what they like/dislike. this subtype often enjoys spending long periods of time in their room listening to music (often more). overrall, the ENFP-Fi is usually a very calm and collected individual, though they place a stronger emphasis on their convictions than the Ne subtype and can easily become heated in touchy political discussions. often very similar to their INFP cousins, the difference lies in this subtype's larger energy reserves and more externally responsive nature.
if they feel called to do so, some (but not all) ENFP-Fi can suddenly do a 180, leaving behind their normally subdued persona and turning over a more expansive, charismatic leaf. the energy of this subtype during such a time is concentrated and white hot. their speech can take on a more poetic quality and their solid convictions and heroic demeanor often serve to inspire others to follow them or look to them for guidance. at their worst, this subtype is self absorbed, prone to intense anger/aggression, dogmatic, hypocritical and out of touch with reality. at their best, this subtype is wise, graceful, inspiring, creative and

I totally seem to be like an alien here :P (excluding the descriptions of Ne, Fi).

This is what I got by taking the test, last time:
    Your Sociotype: ILI-1Ni (INTp)
Using introverted intuition as his base function and extroverted thinking as his creative, the ILI is capable of deep and vivid imagery as well as the ability to analyze the correctness of conclusions. In fact, the ILI is excellent at critiquing everything from someone's statements and conclusions to the food he eats. They have an inherent understanding of the weak points in any argument, and they are particularly adept at identifying both empirical weaknesses and logical inconsistencies. As paradoxical as it might sound, the ILI has both the ability to foresee future trends and events, while at the same time refusing to make any assumptions that lack a thorough empirical backing. At his best, the ILI will act as a very useful advisor, pointing out weaknesses and flaws that he sees, while also making suggestions for improvements. At his worst, the ILI's penchant for deep and secluded thoughts, coupled with his refusal to sacrifice truth and accuracy in favor of diplomacy, can result in leaving him socially isolated. Learn more about the ILI here!

    Other Possible Types
LIE (ENTj): 87% as likely as ILI.
EIE (ENFj): 52% as likely as ILI.
IEI (INFp): 48% as likely as ILI.

Lol, most definitely ENFP-Fi and I would probably seem like an INTJ if you didn't know me personally and had only seen me under limited circumstances or situations. That was actually a really good description for those ENFPs that don't have the common enneagram types since nearly all the damn descriptions cater to ENFP-Ne when it comes to MBTI. I also have the 6, 1 and 4 in my tritype which makes me seem even more different then the ENFP-Ne.

ENFP-Ne's are the epitome of scary in my book. Them and those Se doms have too much energy for me. I'm worn out just thinking about it.

I'm not talking about socionics (that's just what I stole the idea from), but MBTI. are you an ENFP (MBTI ENFP) that is more Fi heavy or an ENFP who is more Ne heavy?

Thanks for the correction, looks like I jumbled them up.
By reading that, I lean very much more towards having a better Fi=INTJ. Not INFP because I'm not so sensitive.

Those anneagrams- none of them fit me. I am having serious anneagram difficulty/malfunction these days. I think I'm 2w3- but others think I'm 2w1. I just don't know. (So typical ENFP- I'm procrastinating on investigating this further and actually deciding if I even submit to the whole anneagram theory at all. But that is today. Ask me again tomorrow.) ;)

I am an ever evolving creature. Passionate and my mind always going. Very extroverted where I get my energy.

But I'm most definitely ENFP. One who had her J honed pretty damn well while young- but my natural me is all PEA!!!!!!!!

I was hoping you would answer, you are a good example of how the ENFP-Fi subtype can look completely different from the ENFP-Ne subtype

    PS: I am also ENFP-Fi
