Merlin is my favorite- did I say Merlin already ?

Among the princesses Jasmine and Aurora

However the Swan Princess and Anastasia are my ultimate favorite cartoon princesses

As a kid, Ariel was my favorite. I liked Princess Jasmine and Pocahontas, but I think part of that was also Aladdin and John Smith (I liked the stories of those movies though Pocahontas true story was sad). I had a huge crush on John Smith as a kid.

As an adult, I really enjoyed Tangled. Her relationship with her mother and that contrast between fear/isolation and clinging to the tower, vs. being exposed and vulnerable and just 'learning the hard way' reminds me of some parts of my life. So I really appreciate that.

I mean, my mother isn't an evil witch but we've had our rough patches.

Edit: And then Mother Gothel also reminds me of part of myself, because I can sometimes over-isolate. I can be incredibly critical of myself, and self-defeating. So I really like this movie because I can relate with some of the major themes. At this point in my life, Rapunzel has a lot of archetypes that I find moving and useful.

I don't like watching things over and over, but I would watch it again and I've already watched it a couple times. That's pretty rare.

Yeah, I connected with Rapunzel too.

My list hasn't really changed. I'm not sure if I added Ellie but she's at the top of my list.

I also fell in love with Vanellope in the Ralph Breaks the Internet

This song put her in the top for me too.

    BEST princess EVER.

I still hate watching Ariel, probably because people recognize her as an ENFP. She makes me cringe. I hope the live movie makes that better for me and they give her more substance. I don't care if she's black and that's a great singer they put for her.

This isn't about my favorite character, but around when I posted in this thread, I was informed that a five likes my voice because I 'sound like Anna from Frozen.'

It's kind of puzzling to me, but also the only time I can remember being compared to a Disney princess, especially by a child (as children are usually pretty honest).

It makes me wonder about typology--I think people type Anna as ESFP or ENFP usually, but I wonder if the 'sounds like Anna' could be an ENFP thing.

But I definitely have more affection for Anna after being complimented by a five year old like that. I related to her a little before--her relationship with her ex reminds me a little ofmy relationship (or what I felt like it was) with my ESFJ ex.
