    P.S. I said borderline, didn't cross the line ;)
Yeah since 34 I've really amped up learning. I love it. I could throw in traveling but that's pretty much a given for most ENFPs. I also like makeup art and probably become too involved around Halloween. LOL, I'm also starting to like Geology and the pressure of making gem stones.

Haha...I go overboard at Halloween too. Hence my avatar, which was my original Per C profile pic!

    I've always loved that avatar.

Seriously, I let out a little scream to this. It's the little things in life.

I also used to sit in on classes--- especially my senior year I learned I could really get everything I wanted to out of it all. I'd talk to professors ahead of time or just ask if I could go with a friend to a class that sounded interesting to me. So I love that we have this in common! I like to say it's like we "figured it out" and there was no obligation. I didn't have to do homework.
But Steven Hawking!!!! Is there any particular thing that you remember from it that you could share with us?
Well, the first bit was just trying to contain myself while listening to him. I might have reacted like this.

But then as he went on about black holes and explored relativity, especially quantum gravity. Then I went into the typical Ne mood, of scribbling down your ideas frantically as your brain expresses its own opinion on what is being taught. I wrote about some of that in my novel or at least touched on it.

Below is a summary of what I came up with when listening to him and moments since then leading to the flash in 2013 when I started my novel. The idea of mastering quantum physics would be grasping gravity and understanding it. This would mean that you would not only be able to explore space as a species growing up on a planet like Earth where gravity is essential to us but it also means the discovery of time. Think about centrifugal force, however wonderful on paper, it is not practical in the space environment. Basically, the reality is proving that it's really not that great of an application when regards to exobiology and the vascular/circulatory system of humanity. So if we're to be adept in quantum physics in relation to quantum gravity, we have to learn how to make a gravity well. Of course, we have to make it so it doesn't crush our skeletal system or planet *cough* schematics the INTJ wonder boys can figure out the little details, which is vital as well. What if we could find that balance? We could devise a magnet to create artificial gravity and bend space to jump through it. This would alleviate the problem of the vastness of space in general, which is why space travel at this time is an impossible feat for our species. Not to mention those two things leads to time travel but as Tony Stark pointed out, not the best thing to mess with Time. I mean what's not to like about Tony; Deutsch propositions, eigenvalues, and inverted Möbius strips.

When people think of exobiology they might think aliens, but when I think of it I want it to apply to our own species. Once we realize we're a species on a planet with this factor in place maybe we can, therefore, apply those variables to solutions into the vacuum of space. Even better our own planet's issues could be worked on.

Like we could also apply magnets in conjunction with solar roadways to our own energy situation. It would create a duality of kinetic force and solar for energy. When people think about electricity they also forget about the ability to harness kinetic energy. This could be very well done with a magnet in the roads and also one in new cars, creating energy for our cities but also provided the stopping force to the friction issue. Though my idea for magnetized roadways would require some strong civil engineering of restructuring not only our roadways but the workforce to maintain it and therefore updating cars to apply the application as well.

Solar roadways are fascinating to me. They still lack one crucial variable to be reliant as safe. Friction. Glass friction is hard to obtain on a surface area over asphalt or concrete. The creators of solar roadways are then trying to add frictional applications like divets in the glass to increase this friction to a more safe standard for a vehicle to stop. Still, they lack the design knowledge and the actual application of it in reality. Meaning no one is going to want to ride on a roadway that makes them constantly jiggle. First, it might make you actually go numb from the constant shaking and two it might make your voice sound like this.

Which I mean might be fun for a while but could get annoying fast.

Therefore utilizing magnets into the operation is beneficial. Plus we could also think about this same issue when regards to structural foundations in tectonic areas.

I could keep going on what I've thought of to cool the oceans and clean them but that could be another chapter some other day.

Who knew back to the future with hoverboards and listening to Steven on magnets would spark that?

Llyralen, secondpassing and Moby thanked this post.

So COOL! Thank you so much for taking the time to write these thoughts down for us! I love the idea of Steven Hawking's lecture fueling your ideas!
