I know what you mean tho. ENTJs are pretentious in my experience.

I just normally like dudes with a lot of Fe, or dudes with a lot of Ne. Not always.

I had a crush on an ENFJ once. He was gay & 3 times my age at the time (and he's passed away, now). I could get along with an ENFJ as a partner.

Wow, sorry for that. Did you have the chance to get close to him ? were you over him when you learned about his passing ?
I have a lot of admiration for a gay xNFJ 19 years older than me (college teacher and almost a friend now). I agree strong Fe in guys has something irresistible. Always deriving the attention from him to praise other people, putting in the spotlight those who work "behind the scene" (for colloquiums for instance), jumping in to offer his help, emphasizing the importance of community and spaces for exchange and research. I remember being stuck in an awkward conversation with someone until he noticed the awkwardness and delivered me from it by joining us and asking me questions - Fe antennae are crazy, so quick to pick up on social cues and smoothly act on it.
(I didn't expect ENTJ from the test either, as my answers were rather Fe oriented)

My answers were definitely preferential towards thinking things out & not making feeling-based decisions, so I can easily get why it said T for mine. But I picked those answers based on a fear of getting stuck with a flaky decision-maker & being continually subject to someone else's whim of the moment, and on a preference for someone reasoning shit out. That doesn't account for ENFJ style very well. Not if you get a really ingenious one like what you're describing, and like my acquaintance was.

Yeah, he was my professor a few decades back. I hadn't kept in touch with him, but I randomly searched his name a few months or a year ago, and his recent obituary came up.

I think it was the old Keirsey website that associated the word "magnanimous" with ENFJ style. It was like a palpable quality around that man. Another one, too, later, who might have been either an ESFJ or an ENFJ.

    It's a good character trait.

Magnanimous fits well. I also thought of "humble superhero aura" for FJs. ENTPs can have this tendency too when they push people to critical thinking for their own good at the risk of being seen as annoying trolls.

Have you met other ENFJs than your former professor ? I can see ENTPs and ENFJs being a good match, too bad we hardly see it on PerC. Both types are quite rare already (especially ENTP females and ENFJ males), so is this pairing apparently.
