INTJs make me feel dumb :(

I'm not looking for anything by posting this, but I was wondering if any other ENFPs feel the same?

I always end up doing or saying stupid things in front of INTJs, feeling like an idiot, and then wondering why they even bother talking to me T.T

I had issues with feeling dumb in front of INTJ's for a while, until I was able to adapt to their mindset a bit and basically learned how to just keep my mouth shut 90% of the time. And, hey, it worked. Say things that are difficult to argue with, and bam. Win/win. :P (Frankly, it's easiest to let the Ne go nuts, but the Fi? INTJ's can rip you a new one if they're particularly nasty people.)

Because you're always thinking their minds is beyond everything. Maybe at first anybody can act like this but then you should relax Don't let they fool you or think you're stupid. Actually, the only feeling stupid is yourself, they will never think that. If they think you're stupid they are not going to waste their damn time to speak to you.

It's okay, I often feel the same, and I don't know how to handle it too, though.
But hey, don't they do that not to make us (the person they're talking to) feel bad, but it's more like blurring out stuffs they believe to be correct, right?

So I tend to stick to my (poorly built) professional character. I will accept what they think and probably act as if I knew that already. (They wouldn't really care tho) (I guess)

Chillax tho, this might not be the field we're best at, but we can always show them that we can handle other fields better than them ;D

Don't let yourself feel stupid and you won't. It's easy to be intimidated by NTJ types, I think, or maybe just NTs in general. I think your being intimidated is what makes you say "stupid" things. Just relax. People should not be afraid of people.

I swear to god, when I'm around INTJs I feel like DeeDee from Dexter's Laboratory. They're all bragging about their latest scientific achievements and I'm just standing over in a corner all like "Oooooh, what does this button do?"

I learned about MBTI in grad school and one of my office mates was an INTJ post doc. I felt retardedly stupid around her most of the time and when I would try to debate ideas with her, it would end up in this weird stilted conversation, as i would try and debate her like I debated my ENTP friends. We all liked our INTJ friend, but were at a loss as to why she was different.

Then we took the MBTI. I tested as an ENTP, but then found my ENFP self. She tested as an INTJ. She hated her results but we were like "holy crap!" now we understand her.

Then I read somewhere that INTJs needed emotional interaction....I was like, oh, I dont need to THINK with her, I need to FEEL with her.

So then I did-and she just stopped and she smiled. And after that I have loved all INTJs I meet mostly. I just melt into a butterball of random silly which seems to capture thier attention and make them happy and I listen to them and make them feel loved, or at least try. INTJs have an inner glow, thier inner child, that in many ways needs to be sheltered and protected and even nurtured.

And then I had an little INTJ boy and every day has been a riot of hysterical cute stoic adorableness since :)

I actually am just too fascinated by everything they're talking about/doing to feel stupid. Yes, there's a little bit of DeeDee in there, but I actually want to explain things to me. (What? This button does this? Totally awesome!)

I feel stupid around ESTJ types though. They're just so good at arguing (and sometimes belittling) that I'm left with my mouth agape going "What the hell just happened?"

o.o not really true, I have argued with ENTJs before to a point where my reasoning had no logical inconsistencies the Te dom could use to argue back :\.

In my personal experience it is very easy to switch into Te-Si mode and to debate. The odd thing about it is that I lose my fun side in order to adopt a rather monotone way of verbalizing. Its fun thou.....but sometimes I get this vague sense that I'm intimidating people who seem physically uncomfortable and don't know how to respond. This is especially true if the topic is within my area of expertise.

o.o maybe OP is just intimidated and that inhibits her.
