    common ENFP moods and spells

im just curious to see first of all what different moods you get and how you'd describe how you feel in each of them, and also how much correlation there is here- certainly im the only one i know that seems to get these random moods and spells. they usually come in cycles, it's bizarre.

EXCITED: woop woop! you realise just how awesome you are and how great life is. i get this overwhelming happiness and excitement from nowhere which i have to spill onto everyone else. suddenly everything in life seems to be so effortless you wonder why it isn't like that all the time. creative energy comes from nowhere and i feel like i can improvise my way through anything.

WITHDRAWN: typically if im having bad interactions or just randomly sometimes ill withdraw completely. my mind basically stops working and the outside world gets blocked out. im in my own little dreamland.

REFLECTIVE: most often when i've been alone for some amount of time, i get all reflective and sentimental, remembering the goodtimes had with friends and all the cringeworthy moments of life.

ARTICULATE: might sound strange but i get this mood where my head gets sorted out and i feel like i always know exactly what im talking about (which is a nice change :D), i can express all my complicated feelings and ideas clearly and the whole world makes sense (i know right?!).

feel free to add your own

The WITHDRAWN explains exactly how I feel if I'm not getting enough attention or feel suddenly out of the loop. I also call it my DARK, TORMENTED WRITER feeling. I actually adore it to some extent. I like to read Hemingway and study Fitzgerald at that point. That is, until some guy winks at me or one of my friends tells me how much I mean to them.

Or I just sleep it off. Then I get undeniably happy to spite whoever made me so withdrawn.

Articulate Mood should be coined the Cruise mood. Whenever everything starts to make sense, life just becomes so easy that anything bad that happens doesn't even matter.

HA! Very good summary of those moods.

I try my bet to stay away from REFLECTIVE as much as possible. I hate nostalgia...even when I'm reflecting on something good. I dunno, REFLECTIVE usually devolves into WITHDRAWN. At any rate, it never leads to ARTICULATE or EXCITED.

I can never think of words to describe my moods, they're too broad to be summed up by one word i.e. usually if I'm not feeling great it's 'bad with some sadness' or 'annoyed with frustration and a hint of being tired' or 'content with a bit of excitement'

    Very well-put!

I go through all of these routinely.
Each of them can feel quite all-consuming, as you explain.
I value them because they ensure that I'm always getting different perspectives -- but the challenge is to harness them, and to work through some of them so the "day to day" keeps going.

I might have another one in between Articulate and Excited that's something like

ACTION - when after a period of reflection, I know what needs to be done - and I DO IT!
It can also be engrossing and exhilarating - but very focused and maybe a little bit T/J.

EXCITED can be a little silly or focused on more personal and whimsical things; ARTICULATE may be very clear and objective, bot not action-oriented. ACTION is when it's clear what I need to do.. AND I GET ON IT!
