Is it even possible to not worry & wonder about the future?! Seriously? I need to focus on living in the present. That's what makes me happiest. I just need to be content with what I have now and not where everything will lead or where I will end up. I think I'm getting better at it. Maybe...

I was where you are, but I'm definitely more present-focused lately. These days, I know that many of the things I'm doing are naturally working towards keeping my options open for the future, without really having to focus on one at a time. That, and I've got plenty of time before I complete my most pressing goal: holding on to my day job so as to pay off the car I just bought. The important part is that it's easy to see the progress I'm making on it every week, and I'm not exactly motivated to make any big career changes right now that would interrupt my steady stream of cash. Maybe you can find something like that to motivate you?

Otherwise, I feel that I came to this stream of consciousness somewhere between my Buddhist philosophy binge (yeah, yeah, but it sure emphasizes the importance of living in the present), and poking through Barbara's Sher's Refuse to Choose. Do a little research into the latter and see if it cheers you up, vivapuff. :)

    What I'm thinking right now:

I'm listening to the song Titanium, and thinking of how awesome it would be to make a music video to this song using clips from the TV show Invader Zim. I even have ideas of what scenes to put where.

I'm also really disappointed I'm not going to NYC for grad school... I love big cities and could have gotten a fresh start with a different place and different people.

How does that even justify who gets hired and who doesn't? Grit? Is grit really that important in hiring? How does that even prove grit? It just proves I can sit on my ass for hours on end listening to lecturers talk about something I may or may not be interested in. I highly doubt the "real world"--whatever construct that is--has you sitting in a room being talked at for hours. At least, that's not how my summer government desk job works. I get bitched at, but at least that's engaging.

Where can I buy time management?!
    Oh and sleep?
    Who wants to buy procrastination?
    Hahaha!

Screw those problems. Let's have fun!
