Seriously, I want to stand up and defend you from all the hate you've been receiving tonight, but some of the stuff you have written is just crazy. I know you have a problem with paranoia and thinking people don't like you, but starting threads like this isn't helping your cause. Be nice to people, and they'll usually be nice to you.

How can that be possible? How is it possible that there is one personality type that there are no "problems" with? That makes no sense. I've been reading about type relations, other personality types, and every type has great qualities. But every type has characteristics that are annoying. And for some reason, I just can't see the flaws in the ENFP. And it's blowing our egos way out of proportion in my opinion.

The only thing that annoys me are people who pretend to be enfps.

Each type is designed with a purpose to contribute in some way to society, so in all retrospect, there are no 'flaws' in types. One type may dislike factors in another type (or even their own type) but that comes down to personal preference. In our healthy states, ENFPs are well rounded, balanced individuals. The same can be said about any other type for that matter.

HOWEVER, Unhealthy ENFPs can get very frustrating and hard to deal with. This includes ones with an under-developed Te. They can become impulsive, manipulative, moody, illogical and somewhat narrow-minded. Its these few that can cause others to make such generalisations about us.

I can think of several perceived flaws in me personally as a result of my ENFP traits but that's more individualised and won't necessarily be reflected in the next ENFP.

Wasn't there a thread about this not to long ago? I think there is actually a couple of them to be honest.

Here is one I found in the INTJ board if you are interested: https://personalitycafe.com/intj-foru...out-enfps.html

There are flaws and many of us are very aware of our flaws (self awareness = growth afterall) - and we work to grow our weaknesses and strengths. A healthy ENFP should be balanced which leads to a very well-rounded person, imo. A very well-rounded person who is also an excellent social chameleon and simply adapts to their environment. And in many cases, it's just a matter of displaying different sides of our personality so it remains genuine and people can feel that too. They feel connected through our uncanny ability to break the "barrier".

People are almost always surprised when they tell me something they've never told anyone before after only a few days of knowing each other, I'm never too surprised as I've been hearing that my whole life. And an old friend of mine (ENFJ) always described me as someone who is simply well liked by everyone because I'm amiable and laid back. I don't add any aggression, I kind of mellow a room out or make it really excited.

Nonetheless, there are flaws, no less than any other personality type and by society's standards, probably more so in our type. But we're just well liked when healthy and still well liked when a bit unhealthy, however can lead to a bad experience (such as being unreliable). Maybe a psych evaluation wouldn't work out so well, though. I'd say I'm a pretty healthy person but I think they'd try to pin me as bipolar if I were to get an eval.

I'm not sure where you've been hangin' out, but there are plenty of folk who complain about ENFPs. I've read their comments; they hurt my feelings; I eat a cookie; I feel better; I try to avoid reading negative comments about my Type in the future.

i think this thread has every right to exist. Maybe there are other ways to ask this question while avoiding any mention of MBTI TYPES. Maybe Marzipan01 is too bored and could be doing something else more productive because I know I worry too much about my mistakes, but who cares? let's entertain her without trying to call her an idiot in a classy and/or intellectual way because doing that makes you idiots anyways.

It annoys the fuck out of me when I drop out of a conversation because I started thinking about what other people are thinking about me.

It annoys the fuck out of me when a good friend won't tell me my flaws/weaknesses upon request.
