How is the pairing between ENFPs and ISTPs? As with ENFPs with ESTPs, and why?

    If not, also why?

I wish I could help you here, but I've been wondering the exact same thing recently.

If the girl I'm thinking of is actually an ENFp, then I know that the two types pair well as friends. Beyond that, I can't say for sure, but it seems to me that they would fit perfectly.

Yeah because my girlfriend is an ENFP and I'm ISTP (although I've gotten ESTP result and they both seem quite match -.-) and we both get along quite well, we were also quite good friends in the beginning for a few months before we got together. I've heard that ENFP and ESTP are worst combination, but i don't know why, and I don't know anything about the combination between ISTP and ENFP.

You may find this page interesting (SPAM protection won't let me post links until I've made at least 10 posts, so I hope you'll forgive me for the weird formatting):

I'm definitely ISTp, and like you, I've been friends with this girl for a while (although I don't get to see her now that I've left for college)

Anyway, if you're also ISTp, this site has almost nothing but good things to say about your relationship. It describes the ISTp-ENFp relationship as a relationship of "duality", saying:

"These relations are the most favourable and comfortable of all intertype relations providing complete psychological compatibility."

The ESTp-ENFp relationship, according to this chart, is not quite as favorable, but glancing over the description didn't make it sound like such a bad combination. In fact, after glancing at a few of the other relationship types, the ESTp-ENFj combination is surely not the worst.

I'm not big on type-related compatibility theories, but based on my own experiences I do tend to get along well with ENFPs. I don't know much about ESTP-ENFP pairings.

The only issue with ENFPs is when I have to fix whatever mess they may have caused.

I can speak with experience, the pairing with enfp and estp can be hard. I know because my sister is estp. My relationship with my sister can be fun: she makes me laugh and I make her laugh. But it can be hard at times. We have a lot of argument over little things. She's always corrected me. She said I'm delusional. In essence, she bossy, I hate being told what to do. On my end, I seem to misinterpreted what she says. Anytime, I try to cheer her up, I can't. It's a hot and cold relationship.I know personally I would not want to date an estp, but that's just me. Then again my best relationship could be with an estp.

I never dated or met an istp in my life. I will say I'm attracted to istp. But my only concern with istp is their sacastic remarks.Beyond that you guys seem cool.

ENFP-ISTP, for me, has worked extremely well. We've been dating for 5 months, and I have yet to have my mind stray whatsoever in the relationship, and that's saying something.

I don't know, personally, about ENFP-ESTP, but I know ENFP-ENTP can have huge arguments on occasion about, what I consider to be, petty things. I once had an argument with my ENTP friend about the closure property in mathematics for a solid 5 to 10 minutes. I wanted to drop it, and he just called me lazy. Whatever, lol. We rarely argue, but when we do, it's fierce--regardless of the subject.

As an XSTP, I will say that I really (really) like ENFP's. They are some of my favorites.

Well, so far my girlfriend (enfp) and i (istp/estp traits) have been dating for 4 months now and things seem to be going fine for the most part. Although I get peeved at how she will imitate my personality and the way I talk or try to adapt them to hide her own overall personality? So sometimes it can be hard to understand her, while at other times I can see through what she is trying to do.
Another thing I don't like is that she can be overly sensitive about the littlest things.

Also, I tend to think things thoroughly in very practical and logical matters, but she doesn't really like to use her head much.

I dunno, just some things I observed so far in the relationship

ahaha, I'm an ENFP dating an ISTP girl and we've been seeing each other for over a year now. Overall it's AWESOME, but I can def. relate to your girl being sensitive. My gf gets soo impatient with me some times because she just doesn't understand why I am the way I am.

From my perspective she says things that really hurt and affect my overall self-esteem. Like how ENFPs can be ditzy and just sometimes appear to be entirely directionless when in reality we are being totally consistent in a way that is hard for non-ENFPs to understand, because it's not an easy task to verbally explain the intuitive/feeling functions... She confronted me about it one day and I had to explain how I've always been a sensitive person, it's a fundamental part of my personality and that if she wants to be with me she has to deal with it. ENFPs just tend to be really sensitive people.

We've been dating for over a year and overall we have such a great relationship. I haven't been so in love in years! I've really had to work on my verbal communication, which is a huge change from my last major relationship where me and my gf would practically read each others' minds just by looking into each others' eyes.

We really make it work though, and complement each other perfectly!
