Wow, this thread seems a bit overwhelming... I couldn't find any direct links to any enneagram tests here so I searched for one and this is what I came up with.

A type two! I haven't seen that test before, could you share?

Have you looked into enneagram before now? It is complicated, takes a while to adjust to. There are so many layers to it.

There's the 9 types but then each nine types have two "wings" that create slightly different version and 3 instinctual variants which also influence it. Then there's tri-type which splits the nine into 3 groups and says you have 1 main one from each group that influences you...

I haven't looked into enneagram a whole lot before now. This is the page I went to, I took the second test. This was one of those "I don't like these questions as much" kind of tests.

Hmm, interesting. This test gave me my results in reverse... and didn't see any sp instincts...

It did get my tri-type right though...

your results suggest your tri-type could be 2, 7, 8

That's something that could give you a flavour of it... really with enneagram I haven't found a test that is effective. MBTI was built as a system that could be tested by dichtomies like that but enneagram is something that you need to find yourself. Read the description of 2 and see if it fits you. Maybe 3 would fit you better.

I find the health level descriptions on this site the most useful for self improvement but also recognising that not everyone is at the same level as others.

Most of that sounds like me. Both pages. With a bit of difference. I feel myself getting angry and resentful if my feelings and wishes aren't being appreciated. No one likes being taken for granted, right? Furthermore I have a lot of trouble really feeling like anyone else cares as much as me. I feel like I'm going out of my way for people, and I'm really starting to lose faith in "you get what you give."
