This is a discussion on Which Enneagram Type would be least interested to the Enneagram? within the Enneagram Personality Theory Forum forums, part of the Personality Type Forums category; I would say type three . They aren’t as into introspection. I don’t think many three’s are studying the enneagram ...

I would say type three . They aren’t as into introspection. I don’t think many three’s are studying the enneagram they don’t see it as helpful in achieving goals. I think they only enter a seminar on it reluctantly by a boss or spouse! lol.
As a six yes conflicting traits and relating to other types so easily can make you have doubts about the system.
Eights I agree would reject it as they don’t want to be vulnerable but recognizing themselves as an eight might remove cynicism. There are it seems a number of enneagram teachers and coaches that are eights.
Seven probably don’t get into that deep as a rule but might find it interesting.

I don't know guys, but I feel like type fours would be the most interested in it because they're always looking to better know and understand themselves. And obviously they wouldn't want to be put in a box, no one really wants that, but the enneagram sort of, like, feeds their superiority complex or their feeling like they're special since obviously fours are the individualists of the enneagram. But yeah, this is just coming from a fellow four. This could just be me.

But anyways, I'd say eights are the most against personality typology in general. My dad is a strong eight and he absolutely hates it. He says it's terrible because it puts people in boxes and that they use these personality typology systems as an excuse to keep engaging in harmful or toxic behavior. And what's funny is that he specifically doesn't like it because he wants to be in control of who he is and his own destiny. And he doesn't like people telling him what he is or how he acts. He wants to be able to define himself BY himself and not have anyone dictate- or more like, the personality typology system- dictate how he should or should not act.

    Haha I voted for 8s ;)

If you can't eat it, fight it, or fuck it, what good is it?

I voted for 8, but only because you can't vote for two types ... 3s are probably about as disinterested as 8s, on average.

Both because introspection tends not to be a central value of theirs. Note "tends" ... they can do it, but tend not to.

I guessed 4's because they'd not want to learn that there are many others that are just as unique as they are.

First thought was 3, since they would be most likely to see it as a 'waste of time' and be too buzy doing things to reach their work or other goals.

Looking at the post counts in the type forums, from least to most posts:

    Type 2 - 345 threads
    Type 3 - 499 threads
    Type 1 - 539 threads
    Type 7 - 698 threads
    Type 8 - 810 threads
    Type 5 - 1009 threads
    Type 6 - 1143 threads
    Type 9 - 1234 threads
    Type 4 - 2298 threads

Not that it's a definitive answer to the question, but still something interesting to look at.
