    Enneagram and MBTI

I just came up with a generalised group of MBTI types that categorised them under the Enneagram Types. This is just my generalisation.

Type 1: INTJ, ENTJ, INFJ, ISTJ + ESTJ
Type 2: ENFJ, ENFP, ISFJ, ESFJ + ESFP
Type 3: ENTJ, ENFJ, ESTJ + ESFJ
Type 4: INFP, ENFP, ISFP + ESFP
Type 5: INTJ, INTP, ISTJ + ISTP
Type 6: ISTJ, ISFJ, ESTJ + ESFJ
Type 7: ENTP, ENFP, ESTP + ESFP
Type 8: ENTJ, ENTP, ESTJ + ESTP
Type 9: INFJ, INFP, ISFJ + ISFP

    So:
    1's are TJs and INXJs
    2's are EF's and SFJ's
    3's are EJ's
    4's are FP's
    5's are IT's
    6's are SJ's
    7's are EP's
    8's are ET's
    9's are IF's

Interesting how Ti doms according to this are only ever Type 5.

Here's another take on the enneagram/MBTI correlation that I found interesting. Of course enneagram has a different focus than myers-briggs, but there can still be overlap in some aspects. Like for instance that Ones are probably statistically more likely to prefer J, Twos to prefer F and Fives to prefer T, etc.

To me the biggest surprise was that according to this article, Sixes are more likely to test as S than N - I would have thought that all that suspicion and paranoia (sorry about that, dear Sixes, I do love you but sometimes you do come across a bit paranoid) would more likely have been a product of too active preference for iNtuition.

ISXP can also be 6 though. This would make ISTP able to be something else than 5, though 6 seems to be related to the Si-Ne axis, but I agree with the Sensing over intuition thing

Type 6 sounds very much like high Si, hence why that article lists all the high Si users. Low Ne can be very paranoid due to Si's high need for security.

I think we 6s are more diverse than that. Counter-phobic 6s are unlikely to be SJs. My main argument would be that with 3s, 6s and 9s being more common Enneagram types they will be seen across more MBTI types, but otherwise you're not far off for a generalization. It fits with the research done here.

    XSXJ 6 is phobic
    ISXP 6 is counterphobic

I don't think the correlation is that strong.

Honestly, I could see any MBTI type as a 6 and I wouldn't even bat an eye.
