That answer eliminates 8 as a core. 9w8 isn't out of the question, and I actually had 3(w2) in mind, but if you're often secure, then it might be integration. Find what you can from audio of teachings and books and excerpts in the pages to really be sure. A person who knows you better (some from here use Skype and I may use my account again when I have my own PC again) than just seeing some posts is probably going to be able to give you a lot better insight.
I'm thinking it's on that 3-6-9 triangle for the core but am not definitive on it. I actually am a lot more focused and even faster with work when I'm riled up and my core is 6w7.

Ahh I checked out 9w8 and I relate quite strongly to the description. A difference I noticed in the description was that although they tend to have numerous skills, they don't promote themselves. Whereas for me it's the opposite. I like to promote myself and appear strong, athletic, smart whatever it may be but without the label of arrogant and self-absorbed attached to it :p

Okay...reading on it sounds pretty accurate, I'll keep looking further, thanks for your input!

Oh! Something quite interesting. When I meet someone new in my age group 18-21 who seem a little dodgy, kinda playfully confrontational with the group then I'll put on a macho demeanor and just generally act more serious and self-assured just to make sure he knows not to try anything with me. Give it about 45 mins to an hour then I'll settle down and be my usual social, joking self

Are you talking about instinctual subtypes? If so I got Sx/Sp in the test I did

I took that test as well as Enneagram Test with Instinctual Variant results and both times So and Sx came on top, closely matching.

Though for the link you sent me it came out Sx/So/Sp although they were very close. Scores of 33, 31 and 27 respectively.
