Do you have one or two major things in your life that you're obsessed about and constantly focused on?
If so, what are they?
This seems to be a fundamental difference between Ni and Ne, with Ne users always looking for more and more things and possibilities yet never going very far with a single one and Ni users obsessed with one or two things and actively excluding others from thought. See video below. I'm just curious what other strong Ni users place as a major focus in their lives.
My Personal Foci:
As for myself, this is quite true and I'm pretty much obsessed with this idea of being able to make whatever I need, exactly how I want it, from essentially raw materials straight from the Earth. I'm completely fascinated by the transformation of materials into product and the engineering and applied science that allows such. This has been a consistent theme in my life since my teenage years and it has led me all the way through highschool, engineering school, and my job in construction. Not to mention, this focus of mine plays well off of my objective pragmatism and action oriented approach to daily affairs. My focus on making things from scratch may in some ways be a means to an end for my other obsession and focus, the pursuit of freedom. My life's dream has always been to live out in the country and basically produce all the resources I'd require, sort of semi-retired with a small company of my own to give me things to do. I've imagined since a child that this country life would give me the freedom to do as I please and to control and run things and my life the way I see fit with minimal outside interference. Everything I encounter and everything I do is basically analyzed for relevance to freedom or making things and purged quickly when not related.
Strong Ni users are often said to have only a couple things that they are really focused on in their lives. If you think this is true and can relate then please share what it is that you are deeply focused on.
