    The Ambitions of an ENTJ

Share your ambitions. Post the mission statement of your life. Inspire and be inspired. Let the fuel from our fires feed one another.

Remember that it is the scope of our ambitions that will determine the height of our ascension. So share the idea that drives you forward.

To stamp out pretension, one special snowflake at a time.

That is a war you have to begin by aiming at yourself. Considering ENTJ's are often thought of as one of the most pretentious of all types. Hopefully you are armed with more than your wit because that is not a fight you are likely to win otherwise.

Pff, a large part of pretension is TALKING about how great you are. We don't have time for that shit. We're too busy doing great things.

According to those know me pragmatism is one of greatest skills. I think it's an E8 thing.

I find I's of any type to be the most pretentious. You know, that idea that people who need to be with other's are week, stupid and do not realize the truth that " we are all alone * cuts self* seems to give them a superiority complex.

That said-my goal would to be to ensure that in humanities obsessions with "Evolving" there is room for the rest of us; those who still enjoy the natural world, our own humanity and well, anything other than being a being rich-tech douche.

I think I'm going to start by making a T-shit that says. " No I will not be your Mother" ( Cuz the " No I will not fix your computer" ones.)

The root cause of "Doing things" is to achieve progress at said thing. Human evolution is the ultimate form of progress that we can achieve as members of our own species. The more we develop ourselves the more we can "do things" more effectively. Increasing our capacity to achieve is the key to achieving ever greater things.

An ENTJ without grand ambition is like a bird without wings.

..What are you going on about?

I agree with progress. I just don't believe that moving forward while ignoring our current problems is progress at all. It's avoidance.

TBH, I've completed most of my ambitions-and then some. They may not be as grande as yours but it's far greater than anyone ever expected. The first ambition was stop comparing myself to others. It's already more than most can say.

How are you going to do that?

The problem with being born into an above average family that spoiled you for more than half your life is that you really have to make your own ambition. It's easy to just get a nine-to-five and live off what you have and work hard to maybe get promoted. It also has to be specific. None of this broad "Help humanity" or "stomp out pretension."

I like this. Ambitions don't have to be these bombastic "Succeed in millions" "changing the world" goals. Some of them can just be personal quests, or good enough for their life.

Now what's my ambition so far? Conan said it best. "To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women." Granted, not as barbaric as he would imply, but I am totally motivated by trying not to be inferior to other people, and I just might like the attention, too. It's why I work out, why I stay motivated when working, why I'm even socially active. It's not the happiest existence, as some have said, and it is stressful, but I'm where I am because of it.

Also, I'd like to get at least a 3.8 GPA when starting college. It goes back to the not being inferior thing. What's great is that it's a never-ending goal, and there's a lot of personal situational factors involved to make it difficult for anyone else I know to understand what the Hell I'm talking about.

And here's the thing, I don't really have a physical ambition that goes beyond college grades, so the other ambition is planning a lifelong ambition with my first two years of college while knocking out core classes. We'll see where it goes.

A bipedal, feathered, flightless carnivore? So, a velociraptor? Sounds about right.
