What does it mean if an ENTJ is constantly making witty jokes at another person's expense? (more so than with other people). Do you guys tend to do that with people you like? Or is that person just an easy target? I think ENTJs are generally awesome, but this confuses me. Anyone?

You're a weak person and I hate you... I.E Yes we tease (someone we like/enjoy interacting with), unless they seem like the type who won't understand the lack of actual personal insult.

Doesn't always mean I 'like' them, though. I honestly don't think much about teasing people, but it does carry some sense of being comfortable with the person/ knowing the other person won't be all offended/ take it too seriously.

so you think that this guy teases me more than other people because I know he is joking and won't bite his head off?

Yes, and that's a good thing. The INFPs I've met are pretty good with the ENTJ style of humor( something we respond well to).

Thanks for your responses, I was starting to wonder if this guy actually hated me. Some of the jokes are pretty harsh, but then they are also pretty funny. I won't start taking it personally then.

Haha, that's funny you say that... an INFP girl I know said she thought I hated her for a good while when the reality was I felt pretty comfortable joking around with her.

guess I'll just have to practice more witty come backs! (though I don't think I've ever won a witty come back contest with an ENTJ)

The fact that he is interacting with you is a good sign. If he disliked you, he would just ignore you.

The fact that you're in his schedule is a good thing. If the person was an "easy target" I wouldn't joke with them, because they wouldn't throw it back, they're weak & it would be a waste of time.

I respect anyone who throws it back & has a good humour, they're good company :). Teasing must be a mutual thing with an ENTJ
