I am an ENTJ female and recently started seeing an ESFJ. So far, things are going well, but I couldn't find too many info on ENTJ and ESFJ relationship online.

    Because it should never happen.

How so? I'm not too familiar with MBTI types except mine. My ESFJ has been quite reserved yet fun, so far. Is he going to turn into a clingy, obnoxious disaster?

I really don't want to influence your decision on him and one shouldn't date base on MBTI anyway.

But if I can say one thing, ESFJs are okay as surface level friendships but once you get down to the deeper levels of relationships, I found that we just weren't on the same page. We both understood each other and yet thought the other was wrong. No matter how hard we tried to compromise, someone was always losing. It was only because, our values were quite different.

He said it best: I have trouble trying to want what you want. I'm simple, all I need is right here--- I'm simple, with simple needs.

Beware: when I criticized him, he saw it as a full on attack on his character. I remember standing there dumbfounded how he can be so pissed off from a suggestion to perhaps prioritize his time around going back to school. For some reason, that sounded like, "Are you calling me lazy??? If I didn't spend all my free time on you maybe I'd get my stuff done."

To which I would point out that I never asked him to spend all his free time on me. His counter would normally be something about how he didn't want to hurt me.

But, if anything can infuriate me the most, is kind gestures turned against you in the form of guilt trips.

I avoid SJs like the plague, normally. Particularly, the combination of Fe and Si (xSFJs) drives me nuts. Si, specifically, gets me. I don't know a heavy Si user that I enjoy spending a lot of time with. There's just a base-level difference that I can't get around.

Also, always with the helping. Sometimes (read "most of the time"), I just want to be left alone to do my stuff. The further involved you become, the more attached they are. This is all IME.

Never dated one, but I've seen it too many times.

I laughed aloud so hard at this one. Partially because it was what I was thinking when while reading the OP. I can't say that I have ever dated one. But, I have a difficult time dealing with everyone of them that I have encountered, including my mother. WHEW! That would be a prescription blood pressure pill waiting to happen, if it were me. I couldn't even begin to imagine......

Oh man, you guys are lame... I got so much shit for not understanding esfj, but now it's a bad idea for the reasons I was saying.

There is no depth unless you are into beating your face into the wall and spitting out teeth at her while yelling your head off at her. I hear some sadomasochists say there is depth in pain lol.

I wonder how Caesar dealt with Cleopatra
