As a kid, I started so many novels and stories based on my dreams and ideas. I stopped writing when I realized my writing was horrible. HORRRRRIBLE. I'm just too much of a perfectionist twit.

I miss being so ingeniously creative.
I write one or two line sketches from time to time, but will probably never write romanticized fiction like I did before.

I really dig writing. My english teacher in middle school said I would be the next Stephen King. I can just come up with really interesting bizarre characters.

Don't you use objective criteria when making decisions? How do you decide what is "good"?

What I really wonder is how an ENTP spent many weeks writing instead of doing the one gazillion other possibilities :)

I used to write a lot more when I was younger. I've been pretty lazy over the past few years, but I've recently started trying to at least try and write something, even if just for 5 mins... stretch the creative muscle!

I've got my short stories and poems (required to write, because I hate writing poetry lol) online if anybody is interested in reading them. I recommend Suite 288, my most recent story, or Walking in the Rain, one of my first. :: The Windfall ::

Well when your grammar is entirely off, I'd say that's pretty objective. :p

I am so very insecure about my writing, more so than anything. Chichi is honestly a bit odd, considering that I am perhaps better at that than anything else on this earth.
Did you find a volunteer or two to read some samples of your work? It would be a shame if you didn't share it out of some self-imposed insecurity (he says in a hypocritical tone)

I've started some screenplay treatments/outlines that I can't even mention to anyone (I even feel insecure mentioning it here, let alone releasing examples :) I am trying to convince myself that it isn't a matter of "good" or "bad" (or, sigh, "awful") but the fact that it exists now in the world and comes from my own mind.

95% of people (based on a study I just commissioned in my own head) never actually do creative writing, so the very act of creation is "good" unto itself, in that it is good for you to express the spark.

    If that makes any sense.

Lets dig this thread from the abyss of threads

    Anyone writes?

I am currently aggregating my ideas into a sci-fi novel. Feels just natural

I love writing, but a lot of the stories I try to write get overrun with plot bunnies. So I usually just find roleplay partners in my fandoms as an outlet for my energies.

I LOVE writing- honestly, it's the only career I'd be happy doing :) For me, it's all about ideas. My writing isn't great- yet, but the ideas behind them are genius. I want to get my ideas out into the world and leave a legacy that can never be destroyed through stories, novels, films. I learn through stories and at heart am a storyteller. And I believe that stories have a huge purpose in this world- I've seen firsthand how impactful and powerful they can be. I am a writer- that's just who I am :) I have amazing ideas and plots written out in my head, I just have to get more hardworking and work at the actually execution of the plot.
