Best gift ideal for ESFJs :)

    Hello ESFJs :)

I have a question for you: we are exchanging Christmas presents with our colleagues at work. This is like 'Secret Santa' thing. I need to buy a not very expensive gift for my ESFJ colleague - she is 33 y/o, single. I have an impression her taste is very different than mine, so I am a bit lost with this task. Do you have any ideas what would she like? What ESFJs like getting as presents? Please help :)

    Thank you...

gifts that go away and dont need to be held onto are good ideas: flowers, food. that way even if they dont like them they dont feel pressure to keep them. cheap? new gloves, scarf, something that matches that style. a nice bottle of wine or coffee.

these are all ideas for someone you dont know well enough to select an appropriate book or piece of clothing for.

Hi Palobell, thanks a lot! :) I like your ideas and the scarf or gloves seem really cool as the winter is approaching. I know her favourite color, I could find something in this color :) Thanks one more time!

Something hand-made. Anyone can buy a gift, but when someone takes the time to make me something, it means so much more.

I make Irish Creme during the Holiday season and give it to people in hand-decorated bottles with custom labels.

Food is always a good choice for anyone, provided they're not allergic to anything :) Personally, I like getting gifts that I can use. I don't want something that's going to sit on my shelf and collect dust. The scarf and gloves was a good idea, gift cards to thoughtful places supplemented with something edible, movie passes. You can't really go wrong with those.

Also, when in doubt, ask her friends! If you know them, that is.

First of all OMG ZDD WHY DO I NOT HAVE A FRIEND LIKE YOU! SO JEALLOUUUSSS!
I got screwed though, VERY academic environments tend to be NT heavy so I get no love XD.

That being said, gift ideas: one word, SENTIMENTAL. I love a good cake, cookie, anything edible. Clothing is a special area. ESFJ's are for the most part pretty fashion conscious and don't like people shopping for them unless they know what they're doing. I'm the kinda guy that tells the guys at the Mens Warehouse exactly what's in style hahahaha, so unless you know for a fact she'll like it, I'd go edible. I know this is really old post wise but this could help for other gift givers :)

    lol :)

Not sure if I posted it anywhere else, so I'll give you the Recipe so you can surprise your friends (or make new ones):

    Zombie Devil Duckie's Irish Creme:

2 cans of Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)
1 teaspoon of pure Vanilla extract
    1 teaspoon of Almond extract
1 heaping tablespoon of instant coffee (something strong and flavorful, but no added flavors)
2 cups of Whiskey. Any type (cheap is OK for this). I always used a Canadian blend that runs around $12.99 per 1.75Liter
    2 raw eggs (optional)

In a large blender add the Whiskey, almond extract, vanilla extract and instant coffee and mix until everything is dissolved.

Add the sweetened condensed milk one can at a time, then blend until smooth and add the other can.

    (optional)

Add the raw eggs and blend until smooth.

Serve over ice, or use in Coffee or other drinks where you would use Irish Creme.

Because of the fresh ingredients you must keep this in the fridge and drink it within a week or two. Anything longer than that and I'd highly suggest pouring it out and starting again. Also, in the fridge it might separate so you'll want to shake it up (gently....) before serving.

I've been making this now for 19 years and the recipe is solid. I tried chocolate one time and it didn't turn out that great. I've experimented with the proportions and it only tastes "right" if you mix it strictly as it is written. Too much vanilla throws off the flavor, as does using a flavored instant coffee. Use a heaping tablespoon of instant coffee (I use Maxwell House instant).

    Enjoy,

    -ZDD

Zombie Devil Duckie's favorite Holiday Hot Buttered Rum Recipe:

1 Cup salted butter (buy the good stuff...)
    1 Cup brown sugar
    1 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 Teaspoon ground nutmeg

Mix the ingredients together with a fork (soften the butter by letting it warm up to room temp) and then store in the refrigerator.

When ready to use, add 2 tablespoons (or 1 "heaping" tablespoon) to 1 cup of boiling water. Add an ounce (pour to taste) of your favorite dark rum.

    Stir until dissolved.

Sprinkle a little nutmeg on top & serve.

It keeps well in the refrigerator and it's an awesome late night Winter's drink to offer your Holiday guests.
