ESFJ's and The Big Bang Theory (tv show)

I am curious to know how many ESFJ's are fans of the tv show The Big Bang Theory? I most absolutely love this show! I love all of the characters on the show!! I have always been attracted to people that society would label as "nerds" and I love anyone who is intelligent. So what do other ESFJ's think of this show? Please dont hold back:)

I thought it was sort of degrading to genuine nerd culture. While it's initially charming, it's still a bit bit shallow and exaggerates stereotypes. Sometimes unrealistic and cheap humor imo. I do think Sheldon is adorable though.

Don't mean to come off as strong, I'm not criticizing you for liking it because I watch episodes here and there, I just assessed it that way.

I have many guilty pleasures, just saying. I don't judge people for what they like so much as I judge my own likes with strong opinions.

It's OK. I enjoy the occasional episode. The characters mesh really well, although as @rd93 said, the situations are sometimes unrealistic/cheap.

I really love the show, personally. I don't have time to just sit down and watch tv or a movie alone anymore, so the only opportunities I have to do so would be at a party or get together with friends, and I love how the show's comedy loosens everyone up. Also, being someone who has always been in extremely challenging academic environments I laugh hysterically because I can relate people irl to those personas, and it's hilarious, because when watching they don't notice it lol!

All in all, good fun :)

I like the show. After watching for a while, it becomes kind of formulaic but the characters are lovable and it's a nice mindless show to relax to. Sheldon reminds me really strongly of a friend I had in high school.

I definitely think Leonard uses Fe, but he just doesn't come across as an extrovert to me. I'd say ISFJ. Bernadette strikes me as an ESFJ.

Right, I assumed he was an ESFJ cause he's the kind of socially competent one out of the 4 along with Howard in some situations(He's ENTP I think :L) not to say ISFJ's aren't, but he just strikes me as being 50/50 on the I/E scale :p

and he's got to mother Sheldon >.<

I'm a programmer/designer. ... and I'm not your typical type to be seen in the profession. I'm a blonde, small, love pink, etc (started back in 2005/2006)... before I've been seeing growth since then, especially recently. However, I did find @rd93's assessment very similar to mine. I found it degrading, TBH.

It does have it's moments and there are some really good, fun observations made through stereotypes and poking fun at it, but for some reason it doesn't seem to work with me or my boyfriend whom programs as well (he's more lower level languages than I am -- C++, assembly, etc where I'm PHP, Java, .NET framework languages). I grew up a tomboy, playing Doom 2 on my 486 through DOS as well as Duke Nukem... I was in grade 5... and yes, I liked pink. I didn't fit in too well.

Mostly I think of it's humor... OMG, they mentioned (some random nerd thing here)... lol! I don't know, there are reasons why different shows exist on TV -- everyone gets something.. usually. Hopefully.

Boyfriend is an INTP, I'm an ENFP.
