OK, ESTJs I am going to go theoretical for a little while. Please stay with me as this has real, practical, ramifications:
In most movies and stories the hero often undergoes a significant transformation from being inferior to becoming superior. This transformation is often initiated by some type of test ranging from pulling a sward from a stone, unplugging from society, to being let lose in a wild environment. The transformation often requires the hero to let go of their fears of becoming themselves and to embrace the incredible power that being themselves can manifest. What is also interesting is that most of these heroic characters are ESTJ… So…
OK, enough of the airy fairy and now time for the practical:
For the “older” ESTJs, when you look back on your life, do you see that there was a moment or a period where you got in touch with your power that has shaped your life since? Have you been waiting for that moment to happen? Are you still looking for that test that will define your character? Do you know what it was and you didn’t pass it?
For the “younger” ESTJs do you find that you struggle with how much of you, you truly can be? Do you question, if you were fully what you wanted to be, that people couldn’t handle you? Or if you were truly yourself you might break ethical or societal norms beyond what you are comfortable with?
Ultimately, do you feel there is a calling for your life that you are embracing, succeeding in or avoiding?
I am totally going out on a limb here, but it is such a reoccurring story pattern, that I couldn’t help but ask.
