    ESTJ Fashion

I read about ESTJ fashion from socionic site.

    It said:

ESTJs clothes are mainly executive or classical in style. Men prefer the traditional suit and tie. When choosing clothes ESTJs will pay much more attention to comfort and quality than to the latest fashion. Female ESTJs do not often wear extravagant things. Even if they do try to follow fashion their choices will always maintain an element of conservatism.

In general ESTJs are very careful and cautious with their clothes. Their clothing is always neat and clean. They may keep clothes for a long time and know well how to preserve them. Even if some items are quite old they still may look like new. ESTJs do not like untidiness and carelessness in their appearance and in general. Trousers are always ironed, shoes polished, etc.
    My questions to you ESTJs:

    1. Do you find this description somewhat true?
    2. What are your considerations in choosing clothes?
    3. What do you want to look like?
    4. How do you define your fashion style?
    5. Show me some of your clothing & fashion style.

I personally thinks that this description match with my style. Some of my considerations when choosing clothes are:

    1. I don't pay attention to the latest fashion or high class brand. For me, clothes with good quality, long lasting, easy to maintain, comfort, and wearable for many occasions are the one that I prefer. I don't like too many laces or unnecessary details that makes the clothes looks attractive, but hard to wash or maintain.
    2. Color and motive are important. I prefer plain and pastel colors, although sometimes I like wearing others. When choosing motives or clothes with patchwork, I don't like clothes with picture of someone or people or animals on it, because I think it looks childish. I'm also very careful in mix and matching my clothes. Too many colors makes me headache.
    3. Although I don't really like black (I think its boring), I often use black because its a basic color, safe, and practical.
    4. For work, I have clothes schedule (my colleagues laugh at me when they find out about this). The reason why I have the list is so I don't have to think about what am I going to wear to work every morning, I won't wear the same cloth in the same week, and I can arrange the fairly amount of each clothes that I wear everyday.

I want to look mature, decent, and classy. So my fashion style mostly simple, classic, match, and neat. Kinda boring, actually.

These are some of my clothes.

    oooooooooo I love your clothes!

    1. I think this fits me pretty well. I always feel like I'm behind on fashion stuff. Pretty much I'll start loving it after its already become really popular, mostly because I'll see certain things put together in magazines or movies and get really interested in it. I love putting together different outfits, its a lot of fun. I would say though, as much as I try to be up to date, I tend to only pick clothes that are really comfortable, and yes, somewhat conservative. I do want my clothes to be extremely clean and I really think its very rare that i have things that look worn out. If I dont feel like I look my best, it sort of ruins a lot of my day. Its not that I really care about appearences, but I like to feel comfortable and look sharp. Also I love guys in suits so that sort of fits what I would pick if I were a guy lol.

    2. I'd pretty much go with anything that looks good, however it needs to be comfortable. I dont really wear anything too expensive or with a designer label because it makes me nervous to wear something that expensive in case something happens to it. Any colors attract me, but I tend to end up getting clothes that are black, white, grey or blue. Sounds pretty conservative huh? I cant help it, i just love blue and those other ones just go with everything. :)

    3. As long as i think that I look good, it really doesnt matter to me what others think i look like.

    4. Fashion is just a name for the same things to be "in" as they were like 50-10 years ago. Sooo many things from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's have come back, not that I lived during most of those decades but they really interest me. As long as i'm comfortable and up to my standards then that's my fashion.

Having a clothing schedule is such a great idea, I hate not knowing what I'm going to wear in the morning.

I'll put up some pictures if i can find any.

Yes boots are sooo good looking. I wish I could wear them more in the summer, but its just too hot. I tried doing the whole flat shoe thing in the winter, but I just cant stop wearing my boots, or buying They're just always good looking. You're definitely right about the coat as well!

Haha... yeah. Flat shoe is just too... flat. LOL

I don't really like flat shoe, but I always breaks my high heel because I walk like a seargent, so I don't have a choice. LOL

It sounds pathetic but I have a hard time not wearing a collared shirt. It's been years since I've worn a regular plain t-shirt. Since I was in high school I've always felt the need to dress a little more "businessy" and collared shirts seemed to be the most practical alternative.

Hmm, I guess this would be something that I'm different in, lol.

Work time: I usually wear a button up shirt, with or without a tie. Lately been wearing a lot of ties. With slacks, except for Friday, which I can wear jeans. We are allowed to wear polo's but I really dislike them and tend to only wear them with jeans. Polo's remind me of when I was a little kid, and my mom would make me wear these ugly uncomfortable polo's. In the past I have enjoyed wearing suits, but currently don't have a nice jacket so I won't wear it.

On my time: I enjoy wearing my tshirts, and jeans.

    1. I find this description to be absolutely true! I detest modern fashion and wild patterns. They give me headaches. Also, I HATE skinny jeans! What possesses some of these girls (and guys) to squease into them?!
    2. I look for styles that are classical and classy. They never go out of style.
    3. Audry Hepburn's style, but I would love to look like Nicole Kidman. No chance of that happening, due to the fact that I'm 5'4
    4. My fashion style is clean, classic, and solid colors. It is a rare occasion for me to wear patterns. If I'm feeling especially daring, I'll wear stripes or polka dots.

    1. Yes and no. Yes, I do care about the way I look, I do pay attention that my clothes are clean, especially for events, and I do keep my clothes for a very long time, and when I can't use them anymore, I modifie them. Also, I don't like fashion, most of the time, I find it ugly and tasteless. But I disagree about the extravagant part. My own style is unique, something I made and bettered through the years. It's a mixt of classic and punkish, if you will. Mostly black, with a touch of bright color, very few pattern, and no little figure. Oh, and I don't give a crap about brands. I like long-sleeves shirts, neckties, suits jackets. But I wears lots of belts, handcuffs, chains, spikes, piercings... Of course, everything is planned, each wristband, the handcuffs, each belt...have their own precise spot. And I know which shirt to wear with which pants and which underwear for which occasion. But that can make me an exception in ESTJs.

    2. That they fit my tastes and are unique by themselves.

    3. Original, unique and with good taste (though I'm aware, of course, that only a small part of the population can really appreciate my style)

    4. People tend to think I'm goth. I certainly am not. I don't want to label my style. I don't like to label people's styles, period. They each should have one that reflect who they are and not the ever-changing fashion shown in the magazines that in 10 years for now, maybe less, will make them cringe upon seeing old pictures of themselves.

    5. Though I'm not the type to freak out if someone wants to take my picture (taking pictures is about keeping track of souvenirs, isn't it?), I really am not often on it, and when I am, for some reason, I'm more often than not dressed in my indoor clothes, which are comfy, practical and warm, but completely unesthetic. Or in cosplay, but that doesn't count.
