Attraction as in could have the best relationship with???

Some personality relationship things in my opinion are just incorrect. I mean I dont know anyone who ends up marrying themselves. And I think in particular guardians and stubborn and bossy which makes it very hard for us to be in relationships with each other. I dont want to have a relationship with me you know? I've already got one of those :) so I tend to pick people that are different than I am.

Also, nothing against your type of course, but I'm not friends with any ESFJ's nor do I think I ever will be. Its not that I dont like your type, because I completely have respect for you, but in terms of relationship dynamics you wouldn't be bringing anything new to me. I have a few acquaintences who are ESFJ's are they're fun, but I just sort of have no attraction in being friends with them.

However you're best match in Keirsey's view is a ISTP or ISFP and I think those would definitely work well for you. :)

yea... you guys would make great friends I think... but I think your relationship will be a bit of a power struggle. I've seen some estj and esfj relationships where the estj bf has his arm around the esfj very ... awkwardly mainly because it looks like he is just trying to dominate her rather than love her. Why would he want to do that? Because she is flirtatious and promiscuous and not to mention.... in control as well. That being said... I've seen you guys make greattt friends. Despite my experience above.... it still possible for it to work. Many types end up falling in love with their F or T other halves. I love INTP's personally... so there you go.

    So yea. Hope that helped.

That is gold, and duality at it's best. Thank you for sharing. I've been trying to find an example of this; it's really cute.

My two cousins are ESFj and ESTj and they make really good friends, but as far as seeing the two personalities in a relationship, I can see that they would have a few troublesome conflicts.

Alright, I had to comment on this thread because the "one who got away" was an ESFJ.

I've got to say, she's my dream girl. She understands why I'm conservative, she gets my commitments, she gets my humor (sort of), and even listens to my crazy rants. The best part about the two of us, in my opinion, is how we balance each other out. Her 'F' and my 'T' matched up perfectly. Honestly, I haven't found another girl like her.

Unfortunately, she didn't feel the same way about me. I explicitly asked her out twice and implicitly asked her out once; she shot me down all three times. In fact, it took a mutual friend to give it to me straight: "She's just not that into you."

So, in a roundabout way of contributing to the discussion about the question "can an ESTJ and an ESFJ work out," in my opinion, they absolutely can.
I definitely see the two personality types being compatible. Obviously, though, It takes more than a personality profile match to make it all work out.

So Jung match ESFJ with ESTJ, huh?

Keirsey match ESFJ with ISTP, while some MBTI site match ESFJ with ISFP/INFP.

No offense, but I'm not interested with F types.

My aunt is an ESFJ married to my uncle who is an ESTJ- they seem to be very committed to each other (and have a very efficient household...)
