may have jumped in a big pile of doodoo

I got sick of ballet and took time off in the past couple of weeks, I got back into a studio (a new one which has been a healthy change), and went to auditions. I got a callback for a musical and getting cold feet. what was I thinking? I'm a dancer, not a singer. I didn't seriously think they'd call me. a friend of a friend got me a late opening and it sounded fun and I wanted to try something different. I sang something easy from swing time but they ask for anything difficult, i'm screwed! I haven't really acted but I'm a performer and it's not somethign with a huge range of emotions but i heard the other auditions and they sounded amazing

i'm hoping they want to see me dance because they didn't ask to see what I had ready for them do you think they'll be pissed? i mean they are professionals, they could figure out i'm not a good singer right? I don't sound like a horny cat shrieking and i'm in tune if you don't ask too much of me

A callback is good thing. I'll keep telling myself that it would be really cool! I don't want to fuck up someone's show I thought they sent me home after the singing without seeing me dance because i really sounded that bad. do you think musical auditions are just different? They focus on the singing first and dancing after?

Idk anything about auditions, but I do know you aren't going to fuck up the show. Go and do the audition. Either they'll like you or they won't.

Do not put that much thought into. They are the judges right? We are way more critical of ourselves than others (that may be stemming from ballet you were involved in). Just do it. What do you have to lose?

Nice avvy btw...Peaky Blinders is awesome

Peaky Blinders is addictive! I admit, I started watching it because of Helen McCrory sp? from Harry Potter. But it's REALLY good!

I like the confidence on stage of knowing I'm hot shit and I make the performance better than it would've been without me. I don't have to be the star, but I have to be on point. it's been a long time since I went into something important to me without being a little cocky about it

Yes, it is, I asked for suggestions and started watching it because, a few suggested it on here.

It sounds like an area of growth. Good for you and branching out and trying new things!
