What's the difference between energy and anxiety?

When I am around huge groups of people, I get this gut feeling. Almost like fear, almost like euphoria.
I get a similar feeling when something scary happens. And when I would run away from people who bothered me a lot.
Basically any time my heart gets pumping really quickly in a small amount of time.

    Is it fear? Happiness?

Do I get energized by huge groups or is it an urge to run?

I read this article the other day. I'm not sure if it's info you're looking for, but I found it helpful.

    In short...
To me, energy is positive and from God.
Anxiety is negative and from Demon (Satan, Devil...whatever you're comfortable calling it)

Listen to the positive energy and push thru, face, and fight the negative anxiety.

Well, that's not really what I was talking about...

I meant that around big groups of people I always get a certain feeling... I used to instinctually interpret it as 'run away'...

    ...Thanks for trying though.

I'd say anxiety is a kind of energy.

Yes... that is true.. although anxiety will drive to a different goal than a positively-oriented counterpart...

Sorry...maybe what I said will make more sense when you read the article (which I forgot to post the link to, but edited post now).

It didn't help much but I'm more sure that I need to follow the instinct. I always chose flight before; it doesn't feel good to stay. Okay, Sam, never jump into the fray.

    Once again thanks.

Energy = "I FEEL LIKE I CAN TAKE ON THE WORLD!"

Anxiety = Energy, except "OH GOD OH GOD THE WORLD IS OUT TO GET ME OH GOD"

l was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and l don't even feel like l have anxiety so l've asked myself this same question.

Usually l just consider myself high-strung, when l have felt actual anxiety in the past it was like l was paralyzed by it.

My usual "energy" l'm able to make use of.

They can both be utilized to achieve different kinds of goals, but anxious energy in my experience is extremely uncomfortable. I avoid it as much as possible.
