Outgoing one week, nothing to say the next week

So I'm just curious and wanted to talk about this with others who are interested in psychology and personality. One week I'll be super outgoing, confident, and comfortable being me, the next week I'll want to stay home all the time and just sit and think. I also withdraw from friends and from doing daily tasks. I start to get overwhelmed by my thoughts as well. I guess I was just curious if anyone else has felt this way before and if anyone has any theories as to why this seems to happen. Thanks!

I do this too. I think it comes from taking in "new" information and then needing time to process it. If you are super outgoing with high energy, you're capable of absorbing more information and that information needs to be processed so you slow down to catch up. If you have a "routine" then you can stay more consistent because you can process the new while meditating in that routine. If you take time out of each and every day to meditate in a routine then you can more consistently be your outgoing self and take in more information regularly. Yoga is a trend for a reason! :p There's just so much new to take in these days that we need more meditative time to process the information.

I do this a lot but that probably has more to do with my introversion. I like to be around people but as a rule, i'm typically inside or alone. If I am with someone it's usually because I have a hard time saying no. Nothing to worry about unless it starts to drastically change your normal routine.

This happens to me, but it lasts longer than a week. I tend to get in a self-absorbed phase and it's difficult to talk to people during those times. The words don't flow. I have too much going on inside and I lose focus of the outside world.

When I'm in my outgoing phase, it's just effortless. I'm like a ball of charisma and more outwardly focused. I haven't been like that in a while, though, haha.
