Oh heck. I don't hate entire generations. I don't know where the term slacker came from, but I never used it on anyone but myself.

Nah, not really. There's just not enough gen xers to hate and they don't get the same level of publicity that boomers and y's get.

Talk about digging deep to try and sell an article. Have we really gotten to the end of real things to talk about on the internet? I couldn't read the whole thing, it was just trying too hard to be an article when it was actually just the aimless ramblings of a freelance writer who had run out of things to say.

I see us as more overlooked than either Boomers or Millennials. We were a generation of late bloomers who rejected our parents' way of life and took more time to figure out our own.

I particularly love that, I remember what the world looked like before everything digital, the Web, and Smart phones took over. Before I was 10, we only had 4 channels of TV. I have actual reading comprehension skills. I can walk up to and talk to strangers face-to-face without shyness or embarrassment. I had no choice but to learn these skills. I left home at 17 and never looked back. I joined the Navy and didn't go to college til I was 22.

    Neither do it.
    It's a wasted effort.
My issue is with governments and corporations and with mean people.
    Not with generations.
I'd have to start calling my friends names because we are all different generations.Name calling is rude so... I'd be left with no friends... don't think that I would enjoy that too much...

You're awesome!!! You must have some great stories to tell. Did you see the world when you were in the Navy? It must have been a great adventure.
I was a shy little kid.
I'm a late bloomer, too. When I went to school, no one understood about learning disabilities and I was too busy struggling to bloom. Learning disabled kids were definitely overlooked, no matter what generation they belonged to.
Through art and music and gardening, I discovered that I was not hopeless. I discovered that I could create and contribute the the world.
    People aren't hopeless.
I struggled so I understand the struggles that others experience.
Which is why I would like to see generation bashing come to an end.

Boomer publicity is bizarre. We are all the same age, no matter what year we were born. We were all hippies in the 1960s, even if we were under the age of 12. We all said, "Don't trust anyone over ten... um... thirty."
