Teletubbies is Generation Z and first aired in 1997. Late Generation Y of the 90s and Generation Z are likely to have be drawn to Teletubbies as toddlers and young children.
Nah, The Muppet Show is the ULTIMATE Silent Generation thing, it has characters playing skits on a play stage with red velvet curtains, that is Vaudeville. I always feel extremely secure from those things. It's actually my parents peers that frighten me.
its Y, those in Z generation that like it just viewed it or caught it at the end of its time. Though I think I remember reading conspiracy theories about the show lol. I don't know which was worse Barney or Teletubbies lol
Youngest Y and onwards. It's a toddler's show, it's not like they are going to criticize it for being old fashioned and out of touch with the very different reality and the modern day sensibilities faced by today's 2-7 year old demographic. They are toddlers, they are way too cool to give a crap.
Both. Millennial teens had their favorite Teletubby in an ironic way. Mine was La La . A lot of people liked Tinky Winky because at least as Millennials they saw them as a rep of the LGBTQ movement. I had a La La doll. I am shameless.
I also have no illusions that it was designed for Gen Z babies as an educational tool. It's probably how Jim Henson created content for 80s Millennials like me (especially the Muppet Show) but Gen X also saw it as theirs because of the cross-over in content for various reasons.
I don’t know about that thing but it sure as hell creeped me out as a kid I could never understand why my baby cousins’ eyes were so glued to them. Rather peculiar. A bunch of over-sized umpalumpahz on an acid trip.
I apologize to you if I offended all of the teletubbie lovers they used to literally give me chills and Barney (oh no).
I'd agree both, but didn't it become like a completely different show towards the end? I remember seeing it on TV when I was a little bit older and it had completely changed. I watched it all the time when I must've been like 2/3 years old and I used to cry whenever it finished. I was an odd kid.
