We may just be in need of another pop culture turn the 2010s are basically over so and with most of the 2010s mainstream pretty much reaching it's peak or past it's peak I think pop culture needs a rebuild.I can see things are slightly starting to change just a little bit but that's it.Maybe around the time of the 2020 election things will start changing faster since that's a big year.i don't know but what do you get y ers think?

Maybe I'm just getting old (turned 30 this month), but I stopped paying attention or caring. Sure it's going to change, but I'm not keeping up with it anymore. I think they say you're pretty much set overall with culture and worldview in your late teens, early 20's. That basically makes the mid to late 2000's for me where I'm stuck lol

Personally, I do not know what cultural shifts will happen in the 2020s.

My prediction ( at this current moment ) is that more and more innovative ideas will happen at a much rapid pace. Shifts will be impossible to pinpoint via a part of a certain decade. Maybe generational inputs will become more diverse from late boomers-Z . generation alpha will start to have SOME influence in the late 2020s. early Baby boomers wont have much influences like other decades, but legends will still produce and thrive.

Yes please. Can the clothing go back a century. Well maybe not that far but... at least be more modest and stylish again. Hopefully the music becomes more creative and less carbon copy. Can we stop making bad movies, and say no to over consumption of digital technology. And say no to automation. Drive over all the phones, gameboy's etc with a truck. Unplug the damn TV. Can we go back to at least like 1970? Where there was still some technology but everyone's life didn't revolve around it... get rid of all of the darn cameras. Kill the internet.

Based on trends, I suspect the next major pop culture shift that'll happen within the 2020s will be the prevalence of AI produced culture.

I don't know, I just think AI celebrities, musicians, actors, writer, etc are quite a likely scenario - a lot cheaper too than giving some big name actor millions of dollars to do a movie when you can get a life-like AI to do it.

A cultural shift towards deep fakery; which yes, does scare me. It's quite possible a culture war will start between AI and humans.
