Since we are half way through this decade how do you feel about it? Do you love it or hate it? Personally I like this decade and I think its better than the 2000s. I will admit that I was not a big fan of the pop music of the late 2000s/early 2010s (early electropop, Black Eyed Peas/Lady Gaga/Katy Perry/Justn Bieber Era) however since like 2013 It seems like music is improving. Though it still has a long way to go so I am sort of undecided for music. However it seems like everything else I enjoy, TV Shows, Movies, Technology, Video Games, Fashion (I thought the 00s were a very bland decade for fashion, I notice the 10s are starting to have an identity which I love), and so many other factors. Plus it seems like since the beggining of this year the economy has been pretty stable, will it last unfortunately if we are to follow history probably not but lets hope for the best! Anyways how do you guys think about this?

I love the 2010s, I'll be sorry to see them end. Some of the best years of my life were in the 2010s. I think anyone who idealizes anything before 9/11 is an idiot. TBH. I mean I love 80s New Wave and even 60s hippie nostalgia etc, but it's always been this ironic, self-aware thing for me....there was never a "Great America." In the 60s Blacks and women and gays still suffered, in the 80s everyone suffered who wasn't a child like me or a rich person. The 90s were the Clinton era...and well, we know how I feel about Neolibs.

Sure, Trump is bad. Trump is BAD. But he's no worse than Putin, Stalin, Hitler, etc ....I mean, we're surviving right? I don't want to go back in terms of lack of social justice, animal rights, or environmental awareness. I'll always probably remember the 2010s as my prime, I spent most of it in LA and the rest in Hippie Tree Town.

I feel like the 2010's are kinda just a hangover of the 2000's. So much happened so fast then, and time seems like it's sorta stood still in ways since. It's strange that it's already basically been an entire decade.

I was watching this documentary about the 2000's, and it was like, wow, yea, that ALL happened and started then, didn't it?

I don't even know what a documentary about the 2010's would look like. Netflix really took off beyond DVD queues maybe. Trump outrage permeated everything. I was gonna say that becoming Instagram and YouTube famous became a thing too, but I remember watching YouTube channels in like 2009. So beyond that idk. lol.

Thinking about it in a more personal sense beyond broader noteworthy events...

Everyone suddenly became a psychologist and started diagnosing each other with personality disorders right and left. lol. It seemed like spirituality took a nosedive as people were increasingly afraid of being seen as narcissistic, irrational, delusional, etc.

A positive is that people have become a lot more health conscious. I remember when I was a vegetarian in the 00's I was in a pretty small minority, and a lot of people still saw it as being, like, a hippie thing. Now it seems like everyone's pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan.

Marijuana has lost a lot of it's stigma too, and the war on drugs is starting to come to end.

People seem like they're simultaneously more hateful and judgmental than I can remember in my lifetime, and more socially conscious. Good in that people are thinking about broader implications before they speak, bad in that genuine human emotion and self expression seem to be stifled a bit as everyone's paranoid af of the lynch mob. I thought it was funny that what someone mentioned as being representative of this decade in terms of major events was basically just a list of people snapping and shootings. I mean, obviously that's not "funny" but. Speaks to the polarization of the time.

My personal life has been somewhat uneventful in a milestone sense. In the 00's I graduated high school, went to college, started a career. This decade I changed professions and moved a few times, the last out of state, but a lot of it has just been... coping. With sh*t things that have happened, my own anger, and the anger that just seems to be everywhere. lol. (And all the terrible music. Can someone please tell me how music is in any way good right now?! xD I kept seeing that declaration. Most of it sounds exactly the same, like a deep track on an album that's just basically filler. Danielle Bregoli got nominated for a Grammy. I mean, wtf).

I'll probably look back at the 2010's with some nostalgia, but I do hold that it's basically just a continuation and evolution of what originated in the 2000's. I mean every decade is when it comes to those before it, but this one seems to be especially so.
