Anything before that for me are like vague ones or glimpses. But I can still recall those vague moments though, and glimpses of how old stores or old houses in my family used to look when I was 3 & 4 years old.
For some reason, I used to think as a kid that all my pre-2002 memories were from 2001. The case here is that I used to attribute all my pre-2002 memories to the year 2001.

I remember chasing a chicken when I was 2. I also remember the house I lived in, and the big stairs. I remember we had dogs.

I know this is from the years 96-98 because these memories come from the place I lived in from age 0-2 years old. I have a memory of being cleaned by my mother in a bucket of water in the new house, which might be from 99.

I remember Pokemon, Digimon, Samurai Jack, Courage the Cowardly Dog and Yugioh, but most of these memories probably come from the early 2000's (I hardly remember anything at all from before my 8th birthday).

Well I guess it varies from person to person, to me, I hardly remember anything before I started Kindergarten. I can remember my Kindergarten-2nd grade years of elementary school very well which was spent in the early 2000's. I clearly remember all of those cartoons you listed on TV when I was 6 & 7 years old (2002 & 2003). Plus 2001-2003 were really great years for the pop culture of movies as well, like the 3 Spy Kids movies, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Elf, Finding Nemo, Monster's Inc, Spider-Man (2002), Pirates of the Caribbean, Ice Age, Harry Potter (1st 3 movies), and much more. The early 2000's (2000-2003) music, pop culture, TV shows, cartoons, and movies were a very laid back, relaxing, bittersweet time in America.

Not me lol, I've always been aware of what years my parents, grandparents or uncles lived in certain houses or had certain furniture. Plus it was pretty cool to my toddler mind how the old stores used to look before my parents switched to the other side of town to a more modern look.

    199?-2002 McDonald's inside Walmart

    2003-present McDonald's inside Walmart

Oh yes, I still remember how it used to look like yesterday, how many times the Walmart in my town had been renovated over the years. It's gone so far. Now this applies to my town, it may have been different from yours though.

Remember the original McDonald's motto, "We love to see you smile" or "Put a Smile on" ?

    Nada.

I have one memory from when I was two. Perhaps a few more there after. That's basically it. Everything else starts when I started preschool.

I have some memories from before 2002 that I do not know what year they were from.

Thats weird but I guess everybody's different in what they could remember. For instance most of my memories from 1998-2000 are pretty vague, with the exception of lifetime milestones like going on my first plane ride in 99' to go to a family reunion, my 3rd & 4th birthdays, my first time going to Disney World in 2000, watching my first movie with my parents in 99', etc.

I know everybody's different, but for me everything from late 2000 through today has been very vivid in my memory. From Christmas of 2000, my 5th birthday, graduating pre school, going to summer camp (for both 2000 & 2001), entering Kindergarten, watching saturday morning cartoons & eventually cartoon channels, etc.

All of these memories are from late 2000 through 2001 give or take, and they still seem pretty vivid to me...
