I'm trying to figure out my boyfriend's type. It's obvious that he's a perceiver. He is so laid back, open, experimental in his attitude, impulsive, spontaneous, etc. He's also an introvert. Although he's very outgoing, he spends a ton of time alone and he often even calls himself an introvert.
Knowing that he's an IXXP type, I know he uses either Se or Ne, and either Fi or Ti. And now I'm stuck.
He's very honest. He likes people that are honest and tell it like it is. At first, that makes me think Ti, but then I realize that Fi can be the same way. They are both truth seeking functions.
He's very competitive, and that makes me think T over F, but then I remember that I'm a thinker and just about the least competitive someone can be. Fi can be pretty prideful as well.
Se vs Ne is even harder for me. He's not very conventional/practical, which would make me think he's not a sensor. However, Se isn't even conventional. That would be Si users that stick to what has worked in the past.
Help? How do you tell the difference between all the IXXP types?
