If I had invested all the money I spent on worthless acne products, I would now be a millionaire. And my mom was/is a health nut, and our diet was as "clean" as a diet can get. After my first pregnancy, it went away. Hormones.

I was hoping it would go away with my first pregnancy too, whenever that will be. In my late twenties and still have 1-2 cystic pimples every month around the time of my period. Yours went away during or after pregnancy?

I still have flare-ups sometimes, around the time of ovulation actually. But at least it's not constant like it was in my teens/early 20s. The ones I get now that are related to my cycle are definitely like you say, the cystic painful ones. Usually on my jawline, and only on one side, which is weird. I just smother them in tea tree oil. Not sure if that's what helps or if they just go away on their own once I'm out of that part of my cycle.

I'm trying to remember.....let's see.....I think it wasn't so bad by the time I got pregnant at age 23. But then, afterward, it was even better.

The worse part of it getting better, though, is that my standards for my skin went way up. It used to be I was elated if I didn't have any big pimples. Then it had to be no pimples at all. Now, it's: why aren't my pores invisible??? If I were rich, there is only one luxury I would indulge in: facials. I would just live at a day spa.

Oh wow, I have exactly the same issue. I have cystic pimples about once a month around my chin/jawline area only on one side of my face (the right side). I think it's a combination of hormones and maybe sleeping on that side of my face. I used Curology for a while and my skin became pretty perfect, but then I stopped the subscription because I thought I might have been cured. It came back and now I'm contemplating starting it again, but it's kind of an unnecessary expense every month. I guess that's the nature of human greed lol. I'm at the stage where I'm just grateful if I don't have giant pimples lol.

I did ProActiv when I was a teen. I think any improvement was all in my head, as it was with any products. I'm glad you had a good experience with Curology.

I just hate spending money, especially on things like that. I stick with my essential oils, which last forever.

The funny thing is, mine are always on the LEFT side of my face, but I think it's because I'm like my avatar, always leaning on my left hand!

I’m in twenties and I still have acne. Now I ate birth control progesterone pills for two months, it’s a lot better - hormones. I probably will never be pregnant (I hope).

I’m allergic and now I don’t use cosmetics products with more than 3 ingredients or products I make. Jojoba oil helped me a lot, also D-panthenole (vitamin B) 100% for pharmateutic use is great for skin.
Always put water on your face, when you have oil on, put water again and again until oil “dried up”.
I make my own mask from sea clay, aloe vera gel (Urtekram is good one), jojoba oil, coconut oil and honey, mix honey and aloe vera for cream texture of mask, durability 45 days in fridge. Every person can find a oil which works for them, just search oils cometogenic rating.

Poor diet and face touching could of been some causes. Genetics, hygiene and stress could of been factors as well.

Or just a brutal puberty phase..
