Generally speaking, the "veiny" look is something I (and I think most women) find attractive. I can think of a couple of unhealthy ways to do it.

Does anyone have experience with the ketogenic diet (and entering ketosis in particular) who can give me some advice? I've been trying for almost a week, but I don't feel like I've entered ketosis yet.

If anyone sees my question and doesn't know the answer, but wants to know, feel free to post quote me. Maybe I'll figure it out soon...

Most men get veiny because they are taking extra supplements to do that. It also has to do with how thick your skin is as well as BF%. The thinner your skin the more veins you'll see and the leaner you are the more noticeable your veins will become. Check out bodybuilding forums. Though you won't hear what you want lol. Most of them want veins!

Almost a week doesn't sound like enough time for your body to adapt. Have you calculated all your macros?

I think I've avoided all carbs besides those in peanut butter and greek yogurt (< this may be what's getting me in trouble; 9g of sugar in a container, but 8g of fat) and I keep forgetting about coffee, but I haven't strictly been counting. How long should it take?

Does anyone here know anything about sun-exposure/tanning?

I am confused, as oddly enough I do not burn very easily, and usually my skin just tans, but yet I have heard that any sun exposure is bad, but then it almost sounded like if you are just fair-skinned?

I have light olive skin, but when it's warmer and sunny my skin turns brown. Even if I don't go outside a lot. But the thing is I like the sun...? also I have heard many times that sun screen is toxic...? is that true?

Maybe he's born with it, maybe it's creatine.

Our bodies produce melamine, which darkens the skin, as a result of the initiation of cell and DNA damage from the sun's light. So, tanning is essentially a defense of our skin to damage. Fair skinned people produce melamine less quickly, and perhaps not as efficiently, which makes them burn more easily. So of course it's even worse for them. Some sun screens have toxic ingredients but I don't think most of them use that anymore.
I came across this buzzfeed article which sums it up nicely http://www.buzzfeed.com/virginiahugh...ths#.vy9O9O1qn

Is the sun really bad for you entirely, though? why did we need it for Vitamin d then? how before civilization did we spend so much time outside, and still enjoy it so much?
