"I meant what I said, don't believe that it ever mattered
I meant what I said, now it seems like everything's been shattered
I kept coming back for more..."

~All that remains- I meant what I said

And I find it kinda funny
    I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had...

Some roads are only seen at night.
Ghost roads, nothing but neon signs.
But some nights the neon gas gets free
And turns into walking dead like me.
And I've been making promises I know I'll never keep.
One of these days I'm gonna leave you in your sleep.
I'll have to go when the whistle blows, the whistle knows my name.
Baby, I was born on a train.
I know that you were never young,
And I know you prob'ly won't get old.
But honey, nobody's gonna hurt you anymore.
And nobody's gonna make you wanna die.
And I've been making promises I know I'll never keep.
One of these days I'm gonna leave you in your sleep.
I'll have to go when the whistle blows, the whistle knows my name.
Baby, I was born on a train.
I'll go some cold and gray morning.
    And you won't remember anything.
But some people don't believe in time.
And some of us don't believe in life.
And I've been making promises I know I'll never keep.
One of these days I'm gonna leave you in your sleep.
I'll have to go when the whistle blows, the whistle knows my name.
Baby, I was born on a train.
Baby, I was born on a train...
Baby, I was born on a train...

-born on a train, magnetic fields. It's always been strangely hauntingly beautiful.

All the signs have gone dark now
    But the meaning lingers on
The square sky hangs above us
    Punctured by the sun
Oh come on feel that good-time rave, get off the street, come down again

Hey there, Mister Madman, what you know that I don't know?
Tell me some crazy stories; let me know who runs this show.
Glassy-eyed and laughing; he turns and walks away
Tell me what makes you that way
Here I am, I'm sure to see a sign
Asking questions, learning all the time
It's always here, it's always there
It's just love and miracles out of nowhere

And you read your Emily Dickenson
    And I my Robert Frost
And we mark our place with book markers
    And measure what we've lost
And now the light is slowly fading
We are verses out of rhythm
    Couplets out of rhyme
    In syncopated time
    Lost in the dangling coversation
    And the superficial sighs
    The borders of our lives

    Close your eyes
    Let me touch you now
Let me give you something that is real
    Close the door
    Leave your fears behind
Let me give you what you're giving me
    You are the only thing
That makes me want to live at all
    When I am with you
There's no reason to pretend that
    When I am with you
    I feel flames again
    Just put me inside you
    I would never ever leave
    Just put me inside you
I would never ever leave you

    Indochina: Capa jumps Jeep
Two feet creep up the road
To photo, to record, meat lumps and war
They advance as does his chance
    Very yellow white flash!
    A violent wrench grips mass
Rips light, tears limbs like rags
Burst so high, finally Capa lands
    Mine is a watery pit
    Painless with immense distance
From medic, from colleague, friend, enemy, foe
Him five yards from his leg
    From you, Taro
    Do not spray into eyes
I have sprayed you into my eyes

    [Verse 2]
    3:10 pm: Capa pends death
    Quivers, last rattles, last chokes
All colours and cares glaze to gray
    Shriveled and stricken to dots
The left hand grasps what the body grasps not
    Le photographe est mort
3.1415, alive no longer my amour
Fated for home, May of '54
Doors open like arms, my love
    Painless with a great closeness
To Capa, to Capa Capa dark after nothing
Reunited with his leg and with you, Taro
    Taro
    Do not spray into eyes
I have sprayed you into my eyes

    A comment made:
"Pi represents the circumference. Gerda Taro died in 1937 and Robert Capa died in 1954, both while performing their jobs as wartime photo journalists. I believe the Pi reference is alluding to their having come “full circle” and meeting up again in the afterlife."

    And it's whispered that soon
If we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason

—"Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin

The piper makes me think of some messianic character, and some of the lyrics sound positively inspiring.
