I'm especially interested in hearing how the creative process differs, and perhaps perceptions of how art looks to the other type.
Personally I am looking for closure after meeting an INFJ who intervened on my process. It was a bad experience, but I am still trying to understand why. I've had plenty of disconnects with INFJ artists as I've gone along, but it wasn't until I got closer to one that I realized a huge clash. I don't think I can do creative-work with INFJ's.
I remember two years ago I had a "fling" with a philosopher poet (INFJ), and it turned out hilarious. By hilarious I mean perplexingly stupid, but I always maintained a sense of tolerance for his art. From my art at the time, I realize I swung more critically to develop form. My mentor would also slip me notes, at the time of dating the INFJ, saying "what is this drivel, your better than this." I never really thought much about personality though.
I realize there is some bias as the more-recent INFJ had mental health issues, and perhaps a cultural affinity which geared her towards taking things very personally. That may have been less personality, and more personal limit on capability. I also realize her genre and mediums were very different.
Another group of artists I see quite often is xSFP's which I can usually work well with. They like the finished project, they like a challenge. Especially for the health arts, they capture great poise. In comparison I actually would rather be around SF artists. For some reason, as and INTJ I also don't feel threatened or threatening around xSFP sexuality, especially in the health arts like photography, modelling, yoga, dance, or other physical forms.
Please discuss. I don't mind if anyone has anything mean to say, as long as it isn't a personal attack. Sometimes being critical allows us to learn more. I'll post this in INTJ and INFJ forums.
