Well, I'm an INFJ and I don't relate. I've got some decent bits and some shitty ones, overall I'm no better or worse than anyone else. I don't lose sleep over being worthless.

Based on Jung's model FJs should be "Fi" by default, as their nature is introverted (in defense against the object - needing control - J in MBTI-) and are Feelers, so, FI.

I enjoyed the article. All an MBTI article has to do for me is give an interesting perspective and at least some internal coherence. It's like philosophy for me. A speculative framework to play around in and maybe use as a jumping off point for greater personal understanding, which is not going to be of greater or lesser value than any other equally cohesive and persuasive speculative framework that any other typology theorist pulled out of their ass--ahem!--head. I know some people think of it more as one might think of religion or science . . . in all the different ways, and with all the differing objectives people have when they talk about, religion and science. Which is as okay with me as I know it likely chaps their hide that I think of it in the way I do.

Hopefully well written, but I'll happily take that to either mean clarity and style or original comparisons and vivid language. MBTI articles on the internet do not equal academic writing. Typology does not equal science. Neuroscience does not equal psychology. Psychology, fan though I am, does not equal wisdom. And the kind I'm a fan of is more art than science.

Anyhow, I'll listen to someone talk about Hamlet's Fi, if they do it well, until the cows come home. If it was Fi, I don't think that was the source of his overall conflict, but I did think it was very overwrought Fi the way he crapped on Ophelia. And I thought there was good poetic meat in the article, talking about using extraverted feeling to extravert our feelings. I've noticed people talk a lot more of other people's feelings when they talk about Fe on this subforum, which has often puzzled me. Thanks for posting it, @The Edwardian Spirit
